Chapter 1
My life sucks! How do you feel when you practically KNOW things that are going to happen before they actually do? Urghhhh! Life has no point to it if the surprises are ruined, and that is exactly what happens to me all the time.
“Hey Rainika, wait up!” I hear my name and I turn to fire the person who called me by my real name. Yeah, I know, I know….go on, laugh it out. My name is ‘Rain’ika, no kidding. Feels like some pathetic name of a Hurricane! I hate it and prefer being called Ray and answer to no other name. So I turn, ready to smack the person who called me Rainika but I see my best friend Sailee and my frown turns to a smile in not even a second.
“Saileeee!” I shriek, hugging her tight “I missed you so much! You have no idea what happened in class today. Just typical for you to be thrown out of the class when I told you I had a hunch that something was going to happen.” Sailee pulled back swiftly asking excitedly what had happened.
I told her that I had a hunch that Ayush was going to deliberately put his hand on mine, and how I withdrew my hand before he could do so. He has a crush on me since 5th and is very persistent. I really hate sitting beside him but he refuses to listen and so does my class teacher. We are in 10th std after all! Not in 1st that she will assign places for us. But Alas! Who has the courtesy to listen to us students?
Right then Sailee had thrown a chalk at the teacher and she took her to the principal. Since there was now no teacher in the class now and I was busy cursing my school, I did not notice Ayush putting his hand on my lap and smiling wickedly. Bloody asshole! I pushed it off feeling disgusted and just got up from there.
When I told Sailee all of this, the look on her face made me quickly change the subject as I was worried that she would go and kill Ayush right then. “You shouldn’t have thrown a chalk on the teacher! Why do you love trouble so much?” I blabbered on. She just waved it off saying nothing had happened and told me to come with her to Ayush’s bus. “Come on, I am going to kill that swine today! He has crossed the limits!” she shouted taking me by the hand.
I tried concentrating on Sailee…..Come on! Bloody intuition thing never works when I want it to!
She called Ayush out of his bus, shouting expletives on the top of her voice, oblivious to the teachers glaring at her.
“Shut up Lee!”I whispered “I have a good image in front of my teachers, unlike you. So you better control yourself”
She threw me a ‘whatever’ look and barged into the bus, since Ayush was hiding inside like a mouse. “You dare touch her again!” she said holding him by the collar “I’ll cut your ass off, dude” and she punched him right in the face. So, you get the point. My best friend is a full-on tomboy and she can really beat the hell outta guys. Nonetheless, I love her.
And a BIG thanx to Aashi @Perfect for motivating and supporting me and for being my critic. thanx a lot,sweety..:* i luv ya.
