Jake drove to his house, sighing to himself. He didn't even realize that he was shaking until he looked at his hands, noticing how they were incapable of holding onto the wheel. He turned off his car, staying in there for a while. He was about to turn on his car again to go into the garage, but something told him to keep his car outside. It was a feeling that worsened until Jake left his car and went inside, biting his lip.
It was quiet, too quiet.
"Oh, I'm by myself for a few days. How pleasant."
Jakes's roommate, Jessy, went to see family for a few days. She was going to stay with him because of the recent murders, but he reassured her that everything will be okay. That he will be fine and he will call her if anything went wrong.
If only I knew.
Jake took his phone out of his pocket and texted Scott, hoping for some answers. Not seeing the blond's car in the driveway scared him and he hoped everything was okay.
//Where are you? I think I found out something.\\
Jake waited for a text, looking around his house for anything suspicious. So far, nothing. He sighed in relief, hoping that would be the case.
Please let everything be okay.
He jumped when his phone notified him, showing that Scott texted him. He laughed a bit, happy to see that the blond was okay. His smiled dropped when he read the text, his jaw dropping.
//Mitch was stabbed. We're at the hospital and he's fine now. They're just keeping him for a couple of days to see how he heals. He knows who stabbed him too but won't say anything.\\
Jake nodded to himself, nodding his head. Maybe the person who was following him was the murderer and the person who stabbed Mitch is the accomplice. He sighed to himself, hoping that his guess is right.
//I hope he's okay. Also...I know who the murderer is.\\
Scott texted back quickly, causing Jake to think about how he was going to say who the murderer was. He ran to his car, not texting Scott back quite yet.
//You do?! Who is it?!\\
Jake was about to text back when his phone rang. It was the police station, which struck confusion in him. He answered quickly, hoping for an answer.
"Sir, we went to your friend's house. She was not there and it looked like most of her belongings are gone. Do you know why?"
I think I do.
"Please drive to the hospital," Jake commanded, beginning to drive. His smile grew as he drove faster, finally figuring everything out. "I know who the murderer and accomplice are."
~~~
"Mitch, you could tell us. You won't be hurt."
Mitch refused to speak, fear taking control of his body. He looked catatonic, refusing to show any emotion. Scott sighed as he looked at Avi and Kevin, shaking his head.
"He's not saying anything," Scott informed them sadly, shaking his head. "Jake knows who the murderer is, but he didn't say who it is. I want to know!"
"I know you do," Avi told him, sitting down next to Scott. He ran his hand up and down the younger man's back, sighing sadly. "We all do. We can't lose anyone else."
"We almost lost Mitch tonight," Kevin spoke up, talking more to himself. He looked at the small brunet, just wanting him to speak. "Mitch, please talk. You won't be hurt. We just want to know."
"I can't say," Mitch told them finally, his voice shaking. He played with his fingers, his face blank. "She said she will hurt me."
Wait...she? As in, the murderer and/or accomplice could a girl? That piece of evidence helped just a bit.
"Mitch, what did she look like?"
Mitch shook his head, not wanting to speak. Kevin was about to say that everything will be okay if he just admitted everything when the door was opened, showing Jake and the police woman that was at Darien and Esther's house. She walked over to the injured male, sitting down slowly. She opened her notebook, looking over at Mitch.
"I'm going to ask some questions. Jake here has some evidence that could help us. We just need your side of the story."
Mitch nodded slowly, remembering the memory vividly. He closed his eyes, the memory talking control of his body.
(WARNING: blood, descriptive injury)
Mitch cried when he heard the fore shut, wanting nothing more than to be with Scott. He can't believe that this is happening. Scott is dying for him just so he could be safe. Scott put Mitch's safety before his own.
"Scott, why would to do that?!"
He cried harder when he heard someone fighting with someone else, jumping when the door opened. He saw someone standing there, a cruel smile on her face. She walked over to him, her side smirk scaring him to no end.
"Oh, Mitchy. If only Scott were here to save you. Too bad my accomplice is too busy killing him."
The figure jumped on Mitch, causing him to scream do help. He screamed more when he felt a knife go into his chest, feeling it come out and in once more. The figure continued to stab him until she heard Scott running up the stairs, getting off of Mitch immediately. She opened the window, allowing the rain to make the room wet. She looked over at the dying figure of Mitch, laughing evilly.
"Goodbye, Mitch."
The figure hopped out, causing Mitch to tear up a bit. He can't believe that the person who stabbed him was someone he used to trust.
Now he can't look at her the same way again.
"So the stabbed was a girl?" The officer asked, looking at Mitch. He nodded slowly, tears running down his cheeks. "Jake has either the accomplice or the murderer's identity. Will you mind telling us who stabbed you?"
Mitch nodded as he looked at Jake, hoping that the redhead will say something first. Jake caught the memo and took a deep breath, looking at everyone.
"I might not be right, but the person in the car had a mask on," Jake began, spelling clearly so the police officer could write it down. "She tried to kill me."
The murderer and accomplice are girls?!
"Who was it?"
Jake took another deep breath, making eye contact with Mitch. Avi, Kevin, and Scott waited impatiently, wanting to know who has been terrorizing them for the longer time.
"It was Genevieve."
A gasp came from Mitch and everyone looked at him, noticing the tears that ran down his cheeks. Scott wiped them quickly, hoping for a response. Mitch took a deep breath, looking at everyone else.
"Kirstie was the one who stabbed me!"
"Wait," Avi spoke up, his eyes wide. "That means..."
"Yes," Kevin answered, shaking his head. He began to tear up, biting his lip. "Kirstie is the murderer and Genevieve is the accomplice."
