(WARNING: death)

"Wait, why would they be the murderer and accomplice?" Kevin asked, standing up. The best friends were about to get arrested right as Kevin said that. "Mitch was the first one to see Esther after she was murdered. Scott didn't even know about Esther until he found Mitch crying over her body."

"Evidence. Cuff them," the officer commanded gruffly, but the other officer did not comply. "Listen to me! Arrest them!"

"He has a point, sir," the officer replied, letting go of Scott's arm. The tall blond sat down, rubbing his arms. "Someone could be framing them."

"Whatever," the officer commented, pushing Mitch a bit. The tenor sat down, afraid of getting the officer angry. "You two are off the hook. I will find out who murdered Es-"

A scream interrupted his train of thought. Everyone jumped besides Scott, who widened his eyes. He hopped off the bed, running upstairs immediately. Mitch followed him quickly, knowing right away where the scream came from. Kevin, Avi, and Kirstie all shared a look and walked upstairs, wondering what was going on. What they saw scared them to no end. Scott was slamming onto the door while crying, his shoulder most likely bruised.

"Alex, open the door!"

"Scott, help me!"

"I can't if you don't open the do-"

*BANG*

Scott stopped slamming the door, his body shaking. He looked down to see blood coming out, confirming his fears. He shook his head as he turned the door knob, wondering why it opened so easily after Alex was shot. Scott looked at the still form of his boyfriend, his entire body shaking. He began to cry quietly, going down on his knees to hold Alex's hand. He put a couple fingers on Alex's neck and looked up, shaking his head.

"He's dead. He's dead and I didn't save him," Scott whispered, his voice cracking. He closed his eyes as more tears escaped, his cheeks wet with them now. "It's all my fault."

Mitch sat down next to Scott, hugging him closely as he began to cry himself. Scott began to sob loudly, his sobs breaking everyone's hearts. Mitch held onto him tightly, running his hands up and down Scott's back. Kirstie watched with no emotion, trying to figure out how to reach in this kind of situation. Avi and Kevin shared a look, their hearts heavy for the tall blond. Kevin turned to the officer, his arms crossed.

"Is that evidence still relevant for you?"

Scott held onto Alex's left hand, the ring on his ring finger shining brightly. He kissed it, wanting Alex to be alive so they could be together until the day were one of them dies. He looked at Alex once more, his heart breaking.

"I love you so much, Alex."

Little did they know, a quarter note was by Alex's head, written in his own blood.

~~~
The funeral ended with Scott locking himself in his room, not wanting to leave. Mitch sighed to himself as he walked around the house, wanting Alex to be here. Alex made the house bright with joy and happiness abs now he's gone. Mitch looked up at Scott's room, sighing sadly.
"Alex, we miss you so much."
A noise caught Mitch's attention. He turned around quickly, wondering what the noise was. It sounded like a door opening and shutting. He shook his head, trying to ignore it.
"It's just my imagination. It's nothing."
Something then broke, causing Mitch to jump. He walked into the kitchen, his heart beating fast. He took a knife out of the knife holder and before he left, he put the rest of the knives under the sink and put a random lock on it, knowing what will become of him if he didn't do so.
"No way am I dying today. Scott doesn't need that."
His heart became heavy for us best friend. Scott was about to get married in two weeks but had a funeral instead of a wedding for the love of his life. Mitch stopped thinking about it when he heard footsteps behind him, his heart beating fast. The knife was knocked out of his hand and before he had the chance to escape, someone picked him up, causing him to scream loudly. Something covered his mouth and he widened his eyes, knowing that this is the end.
"Goodbye, Mitch."
~~~

Scott walked downstairs, knowing that locking himself in his room won't make anything better. Besides, something was telling him to go to the kitchen. He sighed to himself as he walked in, not noticing how someone in a black hoodie was holding onto Mitch.

"Mitch, are you-" Scott began, looking up. He widened his eyes as he saw his best friend with tears running down his face and Jeremy holding onto him and covering his mouth with his hand, laughing hysterically. "Jeremy, put him down!"

"Okay," Jeremy replied, letting go off Mitch. Mitch fell onto his hands roughly, letting out a small cry when he landed on them. "It was just a joke."

"Making someone think they're about to die isn't a joke," Scott scolded angrily, going up to his friend. Mitch began to hyperventilate, his eyes shut tightly. "Mitch, breathe with me. It's okay. No one is going to hurt you. That's it, breathe slowly. Mitch, it's okay. The killer isn't here. It's okay. I'm here."

"Scott?" Mitch asked timidly, his eyes full of exhaustion. Scott nodded, his heart heavy for his friend. "Could you carry me to bed? I'm tired."

"Of course," Scott answered, picking up Mitch right away. He glared at Jeremy, shaking his head. "If you ever pull a prank like that again, I will not hesitate to hurt you. Leave, now."

Jeremy rolled his eyes as he walked out, watching Scott carry Mitch upstairs. He scoffed as he left, wondering why nobody could take a joke these days.

~~~
Kevin smiled at Avi, hoping that the bass will say something without getting angry. Avi nodded, his green eyes full of exhaustion. The bearded man sat down, putting his head down. Kevin rubbed his back, laughing a bit.
"Are you tired?" Kevin asked humorously, hoping that Avi will talk a little bit. Avi smiled a bit, nodding his head.
"As always."
Kevin nodded once more, looking over at Avi. He sighed to himself once more, knowing what he was about to ask next.
"When can we tell people about...you know, us?"
Avi shrugged his shoulders, not knowing how to answer that. He sat up and kissed Kevin on his cheek gently, looking at him lovingly.
"I don't know, Kevin. We'll know when the time is right. I love you so much."
Kevin nodded once more, happy that Avi is finally talking without getting angry. He loved Avi so much. He just wants to take away all of Avi's pain and give it to himself so the bass wouldn't feel hurt anymore. He sighed to himself as he kissed Avi gently, smiling sweetly at him.
"I love you so much too, Avi."
Little did they know, someone was watching them the entire time. The person smirked, going back to their car. The person smiled when they looked at list, crossing off 'Alex Kirk'. The next person only made the mysterious person laugh loudly.
"You're next."
The person drove off, laughing hysterically. There was no way to stop the person now. The person is going to prevail and kill everyone they want to.
