"I-I'm... Having a baby..." You whisper to yourself, your test results clutched in your hands. You've been pregnant for a month, and somehow, you didn't even know about it until now.
Your best friend walks beside you while side hugging you.
"__________, this is amazing!" She cheers while pulling away to look at you. "You and Joshua will be amazing parents!"
You were glowing with happiness, but something brought you down. Your lips are pulled into a stiff smile as the two of you walk to your apartment. What if... What if Josh doesn't want the baby...? Thoughts about your husband fill your head as you walk, your grip on the papers getting tighter by the second.

You stared out of the cafe window and sipped on your taro boba tea as your husband of one month, Joshua, sat across from you with a strawberry boba tea in his hand. The two of you decided to go out since it was Josh's day off of 'Chocolate' promotions. While biting your lip, you set your boba tea down and hum.
"You okay babe?" Joshua asked you, taking both of your hands in his. "You seem a bit distant lately."
"I'm fine babe," you reply, tracing circles on the top of his hands with your thumbs while meeting his eyes. "I'm just really tired."
"Okay babe... Just tell me if anything is wrong okay?"
You simply nod and lean forward while pecking his lips. Joshua smiles but you can see clear worry in his eyes. You sip on your bubble tea and gaze out the window again. It had started raining, and you hum '20', feeling Joshua's eyes on you. Once the both of you finish up, Joshua drives you both back to the apartment and he holds your hand tightly while walking in. You kick your shoes off and plop onto the couch. Joshua chuckles and sits beside you, his arms immediately holding you to him. Smiling, you look up into his eyes and he pecks your nose. Your nose crinkles and he laughs.
"Babe you are the most adorable little thing I've ever known," he softly says, playing with your hair.
"Hm... I'm not as adorable as you," you reply, mentally cringing at the cheesiness.
Joshua pouts and you giggle, ruffling his hair. He grins and kisses you all over your face.
"Yah~" You whine, poking his lips. "It tickles~"
"It won't tickle more than this."
You raise an eyebrow at him and he only smirks, then starts tickling your sides. You start laughing loudly and try to pry his hands away, but he climbs over you so you're trapped under him on the couch.
"I GIVE UP!" You wheeze, tears at your eyes from laughing.
"YES~!" Joshua cheers, climbing off of you while pulling you up.
You cover your sides with your arms and glare at him, but he gives you a puppy face. Rolling your eyes, you sigh and pinch his cheek.
"Let's watch a sad movie," you say out of nowhere.
"Wae~? You know I get emotional babe," Josh replies, snaking an arm around your waist.
"That's why I want to watch it."
Joshua makes a funny face at you and gets up to put in a sad but romantic movie. You smile and cuddle him while watching the movie. You had no idea what the movie was, but as the movie progressed, you learned it was about a newlywed couple who were living life until the woman found out she was pregnant. The husband said he wasn't ready and they ended up splitting and finding new lives, although they missed each other. You bit your lip and zoned-out. What if Joshua isn't ready? What if we split and never find each other again? Frustrated and worried, you start tearing up and sniffle. Joshua looks down at you, his eyes also teary. The scene was, in fact, a sad scene, but you knew that wasn't the reason why you were crying.
And once you burst out in tears, Josh could tell that something was wrong.
"...Babe...?" He gently said, bringing a hand up to your cheek. "Are you okay? What's wrong?"
You shake your head and wipe your tears feeling useless and completely pathetic.
"It's nothing babe," you reply, your voice breaking. Now he's definitely going to leave me.
"Babe, it's not nothing," Josh says, pausing the movie. "Please tell me... Please..."
You hear his voice waver and you look up at him. A tear rolled down his cheek as he looked at you. Your heart breaks into pieces seeing him like this.
"I-I'm... I'm a horrible wife..." You whisper.
"What? No, you're not, ________," Joshua says, taking your arms. "You're the best thing that ever happened to me."
"N-no... I'm the worst... "
"Babe you-."
"Look, I'm pregnant, okay?!" You shout, your gaze still on his.
Joshua stops and stares at you, your gaze moving to your stomach as your grip on his arms loosens.
"I... I've been pregnant for a month and I just recently found out..."
".... Then why didn't you tell me, ______?"
You let out a shaky breath and look into your husband's worried eyes.
"Because I'm afraid. I'm afraid of losing you because I don't know if you're ready or not. I'm afraid we'll split because you're not ready and that you'll find somebody else to love. I'm scared.."
You never break eye contact, but you break down completely. Joshua's face becomes blurry as tears flooded your eyes. After a short moment, you feel Joshua's lips gently and softly press against yours, a hand on your cheek and the other around your waist. You stop and kiss back, moving your arms around his waist. Joshua pulls back and stares into your eyes lovingly, and he runs his fingers through your hair.
"_______, I love you too much to ever leave you... And I'm ready. As long as I'm with you, I'm complete. I'll never love anyone else except for you. I love you so much." Joshua quietly tells you, his warm breath on your lips.
"I love you too," you say, taking a hand and running your fingers through his hair.
The two of you kiss again, and he holds you close to his body. His nose is buried in your hair as you think about the future with a family and the two of you cuddle.
"And babe?" Joshua says.
"Yes?"
"They get back together in the end."
