"Aaaaaaah- Oof!" Chat Noir slammed into the dirt, rolling across the grassy ground before stopping.
Darkness hovered over his vision for a moment, then he slowly opened his eyes. "Ugh...Can someone get the number on that...Ladybug!" He gasped, suddenly remembering why he'd jumped into that vortex in the first place.Hawkmoth had akumatized another unwilling victim, a transportation officer who suddenly could open portals to other dimensions, calling himself "Warpster."
He'd nearly gotten Chat's miraculous after tying him up with his akumatized ticket roll, but Ladybug had distracted him, and he'd dropped her into one of the portals as punishment.
Chat had jumped in after her, but had lost track of her.He sat up, rubbing his sore neck before looking around. He sat by a massive oak tree, surrounded by buildings. A little park, maybe? "My lady?" He called. "Ladybug!"
"Adrian...?"
Chat looked to where the familiar and worryingly weak voice was coming from, seeing his Kwami lying in the grass next to him. "Plagg! Are you okay...?" He asked, carefully scooping him up in his hands.
"I'm so...tired...You wouldn't happen to have any Camembert on you, would ya?"
Chat checked his pockets, then pulled out a small piece of his friend's favorite cheese. "Here."
"Thanks, I'm famished." He shoved it into his mouth, then looked up at Adrian. "Wait...what happened to you?"
"Huh?" Chat looked himself over. Even with Plagg right there, he was still in his Chat Noir form, and he found he'd morphed into an anthro cat, making his tail and ears real. "Whoa...! Dad's gonna kill me!"
"Can we focus on finding out where we are, first? And why you're a cat...?"
Chat knew he was right, and he examined the nearby streets more closely. His night vision allowed him to search for anyone else out at whatever hour it was. He did see a woman, an anthro mouse, it appeared, wandering the streets. "Ma'am!" He called, running towards her. "Excuse me!"
The mouse looked up, then screamed, backing away. "It's him!" She cried, running away. "Help!"
"Wait a minute, I don't wanna hurt you!" He called. "Please!"
"There he is!" Barked an anthro dog, waving his cane at Chat. "Get him!"
Chat backed up as suddenly more anthros appeared, starting to swarm him, some wielding bats, others clearly preparing to use super powers of their own.
"Run for it!" Plagg shouted, grasping tightly to Chat's hair as he jumped up onto a lamp post then back down, taking off away from the pursuing crowd. "What did you do!?"
"I don't know!" Chat cried. He turned a corner, gasping as he saw officers in uniforms coming in cars. "I didn't do anything! I swear!"
His hand tapped a street sign, and he gasped as it rusted and then fell down. His Cataclysm! If he was stuck in Chat Noir form, did that mean he could use it repeatedly?
He jumped up over the police cars, striking the tops and rusting them as he went by. "So sorry, sirs!" He announced.
"We're gonna diiiiiie!" Plagg squealed, barely holding onto Chat's hair.
"We just find shelter!" Chat explained. He yelped as something flew out of the alley he passed, snatching him from the street. "Wha-Mmph!"
He struggled as a rag was put over his mouth, but the sweet smell overcame him, and he collapsed onto the rocky ground."You bully! I'm gonna give you a-" Plagg was cut off as the attacker waved a hand, and an orb of crystal appeared around him, preventing his voice from escaping.
"Cute. But not effective." The shape grabbed Chat, cuffing his ankles and wrists together before placing him in a sack and tossing the orb inside as well before vanishing into the shadows.
