Chapter 4

Garroth's POV

Dante, Travis, and Laurance were joking around while I just moped. During our breakfast at IHOP, my pancakes had sprinkles on them. I can't believe Sprinkles vanished into thin air. She wouldn't have left me, would she? I mean, I gave her a bath, and cats hate water, but she seemed okay with it. She wouldn't have just left me. Something must have happened.....

I was knocked out of my thoughts by bumping into Laurance. I was wondering what everyone was staring at. It was the unusual colored kitten who could fill the hole in my heart. It was a purple ball of fluff that I loved with all my heart. It was the one and only Sprinkles.

"S-S-Sprinkles?" I stuttered. I ran up to her and hugged her. She looked slightly terrified.

"I'm so glad I found you," I managed to get out between tears of happiness. That's when I noticed Celeste, who was whining and frantically trying to get to Sprinkles. I immediately checked Sprinkles to make sure she was unharmed. She was unscathed from what I could tell. Then I wondered, what if Sprinkles was friends with Celeste? What if Sprinkles was at Aphmau's house the whole time? What if Aphmau's keeping secrets? (Oh no she didn't!). Nonsense, Aphmau wouldn't do that. I scolded myself.

Back to Celeste. Was she friends with Sprinkles? I gently set Sprinkles on the ground and a boisterous Celeste jumped around Sprinkles. Sprinkles followed Celeste with her eyes, mewing softly, seeming to enjoy the attention. I decided that we would drop off Celeste at the girls' house, then take Sprinkles back home with us. I told the others of my plan. Everyone agreed, accept for Travis.

"IM NOT STAYING ANYWHERE NEAR THAT DEMON!" Travis screamed, pointing at Celeste before running off to who knows where.

"What's his problem?" Dante asked. Laurance and I shrugged our shoulders as a frantic Katelyn ran up to us.

"Did you guys by any chance see a purple, black, and white cat? She was at our house, but she ran off."

"You mean Sprinkles? She's-"

"She's been missing for a while," Laurance lied, cutting me off. Dante nudged me and nodded towards my beloved Sprinkles. She was cowering behind Celeste, who seemed to be guarding her.
