The next day I woke up and actually looked kinda good. My hair wasn't in such of a mess and I remembered to take my makeup off before I went to sleep. I just slipped a red flannel on, put some shorts on, and grabbed some flip flops. I went in the kitchen, but Michael wasn't there. Strange...he's normally up by this hour. Oh well. The weather seemed humid, but a little windy so I decided to go for a walk. I closed the front door behind me and started to walk down the street. I saw various people doing yard work in front of their houses and little kids playing with chalk in the sidewalk. It was nice to see everyone outside today instead is sitting on the couch watching TV.
"Carmen?" I heard a familiar voice behind me say. I turned around and saw Michael standing there.
"Michael! Where were you? I didn't see you this morning." I asked him. He reached for my arms and placed them around his neck.
"I was gonna pick some flowers for you, babe." He replied, swaying side to side.
"Aww baby!" I cooed. I leaned in slowly to kiss him, when all of a sudden he disappeared and so did the area of my neighborhood.
"Wha-what the fuck?!" I yelled out. All of a sudden I shot up from my position on the bed. I looked around. I was in my room...what the hell? I was lying in bed with the covers covering my body. What the fuck? I was just outside with...but then it hit me. And it hit me hard. It was all just a DREM. My broken leg. Valentine's Day. The dates. Everything...was all a DREM. A long, detailed dream. My eyes started to water with sad sappy tears. My heart shattered a little knowing I wouldn't see Michael ever again. I sighed and was about to grab my phone from my nightstand when I saw something. It was a necklace on my nightstand. I grabbed it to examine it when I saw there was words imprinted on it. I read it and it said...
