Chapter 6

"Michael I don't wanna run!" I wined as we walked outside.
"Common it's not that bad! I wanna lose some weight and you look super hot with those workout pants on!" Michael said, hitting my side.
"Michael! Shut up!" I said laughing.
"Ok, ok, let's run." He said and we started running. We jogged all around the block without one stop for breath. I was pretty good at running; if I do say so myself. We were running by a park when I was about to fall down because my legs were getting sore. Michael was way ahead of me and I needed to catch up, but I was too sore to.
"Michael! Slow do-" I was cut off by the sudden elevation in the concrete that we were running on and fell. I felt my leg twist and a popping noise. 'Oh shit!,' my mind thought. I fell on the concrete hard and groaned.
"OH MY GOD, CARMEN!" I heard Michael yell as he ran towards me.
"Your gonna be ok, I'm gonna get help!" He said. I nodded my head yes as I blacked out.
*a few hours later*
I woke up and found myself in a hospital bed. I sat up and suddenly felt sharp pain in my leg. I looked down and it was in a green cast.
"Do you like the cast? I picked it out." I heard a voice from the doorway say. Michael stood they're with tears in his eyes.
"Michael! Come here baby." I cooed, waving him to come over. Michael walked over to the bed and hugged me.
"Babe it's all my fault. For your leg...if we never went on that run you would never have broken your leg." He poured out, sobbing.
"Michael, don't blame it on yourself. I wasn't looking where I was going and fell on the concrete. Hey...will you do the honors and be the first person to sign my cast?" I asked. Michaels face lighted up as I handed his a sharpie. He carefully wrote on my cast and stuck his tongue out in concentration.
"Done!" He yelled, putting the can on the sharpie. I leaned over and read what he wrote carefully.
'Property of Michael G. Clifford."
