Chapter 2: On the run
We've landed in Puerto Rico at around 6 am. I'm nervous. Lorianne and I walk out looking out everywhere, but everything seems to be normal. We go out and it's steaming hot outside. One would think that being an oven would make you heat resistant, but it's not like that.
We rent a car thanks to Lorianne, now Maria. We drive away as quickly as we can. Six Mogs were waiting for us on a plane, we can't imagine how much are waiting for us here. Lorianne tells me her plan, which is completely crazy. She wants to sneak in the military camp, Campamento Santiago and steal a helicopter and fly to Jamaica.
"Have you gone mad?!" I scream at her.
"Don't worry, I have it all planned," she winks at me.
I trust her, I do, but I don't see how we can get away stealing a military helicopter without getting on the news. We drive around in circles for a while to make sure that no one is following us, which is hard because there are so many cars around us. After two hours of driving, we finally get to Campamento Santiago. We pull up to the gate were a man in uniform stops us. Lorianne pulls out a card obviously fake, and the man let's us in. We drive in the base and park the car.
"Grab everything," Lorianne orders me.
We walk around until we've found the Helicopters. There are men with machine guns strapped to them stopping us from getting any closer.
"We can go it, right Valeria?" Lorianne winks at me and the men are clearly confused and pissed.
I see what she's doing, "Yes. We are going to go inside now."
The men stand dumbfounded for a second and then they let us through. Mind control is the best thing ever. We're met with three more men inside.
"Hey, hey, hey, what the fuck is this?" One of the other men is talking to the men who just let us in.
"It's okay," I say, "We are just going to take this and you're going to open the door so we can leave."
They all nod and help with the ceiling door while Lorianne and I get on the helicopter. Lorianne said she knew how to fly one of these so we're good. We have to leave immediately. There are way to many people and I don't know how many people I can control. She gives me a pair of pilot shades and helmets with the communicator headset built in them. These make us look badass. Lorianne starts up the helicopter.
"Good," Lorianne says, "full tank."
She smiles and I smile. Things are going great. For now. I then hear a male voice in my head and I thought I was going crazy until I realized there was someone talking to me through the headset.
"You do not have authorization to operate that vehicle," said a mad male voice.
I look and Lorianne who mouths "Yes we do."
"Yes we do have authorization," I nervously say.
"What? Abort now before we attack," The man said.
I'm about to cry out of the nervousness. Lorianne said "Concentrate."
I take a deep breath, "We have authorization to operate this vehicle and you are going to leave us alone. Do not report the Helo missing, it is simply on a mission."
"Roger that," and the man leaves us alone.
Lorianne and I celebrate. We celebrate that we just stole a helicopter. We celebrate that I have an awesome legacy. We celebrate that there were no Mogs after the plane incident. But most of all we celebrate that we're still alive.
