The next few days were mostly spent just helping mom unpack all boxes and making sure whether whatever we had boxed up has arrived safely.
Today was going to be the first day of school. I was a nervous mess. There were many thoughts going in my mind but one overpower all "maybe its a new start for me". With that i was set for my first day of school.
I was standing in front of my new school "Riverdale high" one of the most prestigious school in California But first what i saw, i never thought would be the start of my first day here.
You must be thinking what must have i seen .....well let me tell u.
There was a huge crowd of students on the entrance of the school and there was a girl standing on the top of the building ready to jump. What surprised me more was that the people were not really trying to save her instead they we all making videos of it "what a wonderful start i thought"i mumbled to myself.
Me being me could not just stand there and let an innocent girl die. So i did what i thought was right ..tried to save her and my luck i succeeded.
That girl thanked me and i learned her name Arubee, Arubee Maxwell. She was overall a sweet girl with a petit figure, long brown hair and electric green eyes which reminded me of grass. That day the gate to a great friendship started.
"Why were u trying to die" i asked out of mere curiosity.
" Trust me I didn't want to i was forced to." She said.
How can someone be forced to die i thought " by whom" i question.
She shuddered at the memory " The 5, The rebellious 5".
"Interesting name" i said.
"Trust me its not."
Before i could ask anymore about the famous "Rebellious 5" as they say . The warning bell rang and it was time to go for classes. Before me and Arubee separated to go to our classes she said"Ashley, one thing i would like to warn you about, what you have gotten yourself into by the stunt u pulled today is not good, as much as i know the Rebellious 5, after what happen today you are definitely their next target, be careful". Then she turned around and walked off.
The rest of the day was not that event full i attended all my lectures and the day went by smoothly without any interruptions. But throughout the day Arubees words kept on playing in my mind.
After i came home i went straight to my room and popled on my bed. After laying down for 10 minutes i decided to do my homework. After some time mom called me down for dinner.
"How was your first day dear"she asked.
"Not at all as expected" i replied.
On hearing my answer she raised an eyebrow towards me and asked" and what does that mean".
"Oh nothing i mean it was a really good day and i even made a new friend"i said .my mom looked at me speckticaly but let the matter drop.
"Am happy that you are making friends its has been a very long time since you had any" she said with a soft smile and i smiled back.
After having dinner i kissed my mom goodnight and went to sleep. laying on my bed my mind replayed the events that happened through out the day."The rebellious 5"! I don't know why but a kind of strange curiosity has been sparked inside me , i wanna know who they are , why is everybody so scared of them m sure they must not be as bad as everyone thinks or maybe they are don't know. Arubees word kept on playing on my mind i don't know when i felt asleep but one thought was always in my mind "who are these rebellious 5 and why am their victim".
