Chapter 9

Nathan
I decided to see my mate after working out with my friends. My mate. It felt so good to say that! I had been worried that i would be like the other Alphas.
Those Alphas who didnt find their mates in time and had to travel all over the world to find their mates. I didnt want to be too far from my home. Thank goodness i didnt had to wait that long.
If only i knew that Serenity would be my mate in the future then i would have acted very differently towards her. I hope she forgives me. I want to ask for forgiveness first before proceeding with my actions.
I knew that Shawn wanted to talk to me and i also knew what he wanted to talk to me about. I would wait as long as Serenity wanted. Even to the point until she turned 18. I dont mind waiting. Now that i have found my soul mate.
Making my way to Serenity's room i knocked on the door but got no response. Instant worry shot through me making me frown. Why wasnt she answering??
"I saw her go out with Rosie to the infirmary. You'll find her there," mom said as she passed by.
"Thanks mom," i said with a smile.
I was a bit confused as to what Rosie was up to this time. If she did anything that hurt mate; i wont tolerate it. I know the thing she did to Shawn was bad; because it hurt my mate and for that i was still a bit annoyed with her. Despite her being my best friend.
Walking to the infirmary and towards Shawn's room; i stopped as i heard talking. What i heard made my wolf leap to the surface without my consent and i clenched my hands into tight fists. What the absolute fuck?
Without thinking it through i barged into the room and snarled out, "WHY THE FUCK WASNT I INFORMED?"
Through the rage in me i failed to notice how Serenity jumped and trembled from my voice. If i had noticed that; i would have calmed my wolf down. But it was impossible now. He was on the surface and full on angry.
"Nathan calm the fuck down!" Rosie exclaimed standing up.
"I am Jon!" My Wolf yelled.
"Shit!" Rosie muttered but i heard.
"Serenity calm him down. Only you can do that," she added.
"H-how?" Serenity stammered.
"Touch him. Hug him. Whatever," Rosie said.
I was in so much rage that i actually wanted to kill someone. I didnt realized that the connection of an Alpha with his mate was very strong. To the brink that it might become impossible to bear for the other party. I had no idea how mom handled dad.
I watched; slightly trembling and on the brink of transformation as Serenity walked towards me. I watched her like a hawk; taking in satisfaction that she was all right in appearance.
I sighed in bliss as Serenity laid her hand hesitantly on my arm. Just the mere touch brought sparks through my body. I closed my eyes and tried to calm the beast within me. After a few deep breaths i had gained enough control that i could talk calmly. As you just saw; my wolf swears a lot.
"Thanks," i said to Serenity with a smile.
Serenity just blushed and withdrew her hand from my arm. I frowned as i watched her walk towards Shawn. I guess that had to be expected. They were twins and twins were unbelieveably close. But it still irked me.
"You didnt hear the whole story Nathan," Shawn began.
"I dont care! Who the hell is that guy? I will teach him a lesson that he wont mess with my mate!" I said with a low growl.
I watched as Serenity and Shawn had a talk silently. I tried to pry in but despite my best efforts i got nothing. Twins had their own mind bond. But different than mates.
"I already told the story to Rosie. She will fill in the blanks," Shawn said.
I looked at him in the eyes and knew that he was keeping his words. Looking at Serenity i saw her fidget in her seat and Shan place his hand on hers in a comforting manner.
"Rosie."
I didnt had to elaborate further as i turned on my heel and walked out of the room. I knew that Rosie was following me.
"Give me the details. Now," i said as i turned to face her.
"Ok Alpha. Dont need to go ape-shit on me," Rosie muttered.
I listened as Rosie told me the whole story and again felt my wolf trying to resurface but this time i was prepared and held him in check. I didnt want to scare Serenity again.
How could someone do this to her? My beautiful mate? No wonder she was so held back and scared the whole time. My poor mate. I would forever be thankful to Shawn for sticking up with her. He saved my mate. Even though he did it because she was his sister. But still.
Serenity's story will be in the future chapter in her own pov. As she recalls her experience. I know this was short but i wanted to update. The next chapter will have the main climax of the story! So stay tuned!
