''A Promise''

Maya let her lips pull to a thin line as the van began to move out of the mansion and the other girls were doing her makeup and fixing her dress as she rolled her eyes in annoyance at them.

She smiled as Trevor installed the microphone into her ear squeezing her hands whispering comforting words into her ear.

She looked in the rear-view mirror to see Josh staring out the window emotionless in the seat behind her. She sighed in guilt,she was only doing this to protect him honestly just because she liked Trevor A little bit more doesn't mean she didn't care about Josh A lot.

She turned her head towards the front as the van stopped in front of the bank. She gulped as she looked towards Vincent who turned around to look at her seriously give her a once over before stopping at her face.

''You ready for this kid?''Vincent asked,Maya looked towards the building feeling her heart pound in her chest before nodding her head.

''Ready as I will ever be Vince.''Maya replied looking at Trevor who kissed her on the cheek for a second before letting her out of the van as she began to walk inside of the bank.

Maya looked around for the bank clerk who was sitting at the front desk with the name William.

''Target Located Vince,I'm going in''Maya stated as she walced over to his area approaching the desk with a flirtacious smile as she began to ask him random questions about bank accounts and stuff.

''Maya Show a little cleavage to distract him more''She heard Vincent say through her microphone. Her eyes widen for a moment smiling,then give an annoyed look.

''I would but I don't have any boobs here,Thank you.''Maya replied through the microphone not realising the guy at the desk heard, as her eyes widened again.

''What Ma'am?''The clerk ask as she shook her head and began to strike up another conversation as everyone was trying to stifle there laughs inside the van.

As Josh and two of their other girls entered the building from the back an alarm went off .

The man at the counter eyes widen as he cursed under his breath.

"Maya you got thirty seconds to get out of there before All the doors lock. You have to abort this mission now before you get hurt"Vincent said urgently going into leader over-drive.

Maya's eyes almost widen before she kept her composure opening her mouth as a hand grabbed her around the arm.

She turned around to see Trevor smirking at her in a suite.

''Hey Honey,there you are,we need to leave to go pick up the children. My apologies Sir,but we bid you a good day.''Trevor said as they waved goodbye to the receptionist as the alarms were shut off.

''Just smile as we walk out the front and I'll bring you back to the van. Josh,Constance,and Selena got this."He continued as they went through the front door and back into the van.

As they got into the van,Maya sighed running her hands through her hair. She thought she could handle this but she was a little shooken up by everything.

Vincent turned to look back at her emotionless before he smirked at her.

''You done good Maya,Josh and the girls will handle the rest while we go back home''He said before turning back around starting the van.

''Wait,you can't just leave them here,what if they get caught?''Maya asked a little scared for Josh's life having Vincent laugh.

''Maya,trust me,Josh can handle his own,I promise he will be alright. Just relax''Vincent replied as he continued to follow the dirt road back to the house.

Maya sighed running a hand through her hair as her stomach twisted in knots at the uneasiness of the situation they were going through.

As they pulled up to the house everyone got out as they walked into the dining room at the table.

Everyone took a seat but Maya as she paved back and forth around the fireplace. No one dared said a word to the young girl as she worried. They couldn't,she had to understand the consequences if something did happen but everyone highly doubted that it did. Josh was very well trained and intelligent for his age.

Three hours had passed and Maya was sat around the fireplace wrapped in a blanket as she stared at the door now feeling her heart ache. She couldn't live with herself if something happened to her best friends uncle all because of her. It be all her fault and everyone would hate her,especially herself.

Maya bit her lip looking down at her clothes,she was still in the beautiful red dress that girls put her in but she felt uncomfortable. She wondered how everybody else saw her in this. It was gorgeous but it just wasn't Maya.

She looked down until she felt hands on her shoulders. She looked up to see Trevor smiling weakly as her as he sat down next to her handing her a cup of his famous Hit chocolate he gave her last night.

''You should be in bed Maya''He said rubbing the knuckles on her hand so gently.

''I can't,I won't,I just need to make sure Josh Is okay,then I will''She replied looking back at fire place only to look back at his face to see him laughing lightly.

''Whats so funny?''Maya asked confused as Trevor shook his head leaning her head on his shoulder.

''The fact that he treats you like your worthless but yet you still care so deeply for him''Trevor said running his hands through her hair as she pulled away looking back up at his face.

''He's ol-Trevor cut her off running his thumb across her bottom lip as she swallowed weakly.

''I get it Maya,He's older then you,He's your best friends uncle. That doesn't give him the right to treat you the way he does. Do you really understand how gorgeous you are Maya?''Trevor asked as slowly leaned in.

Maya closed her eyes waiting for the impact of his against her's before a door opened and her eyes flew open turning towards the front forgetting about Trevor as Josh,Selena,and Constance stood there wet,dirty,a few bruises and cuts on then holding three bags full of what she presumed was cash from the bank.

Maya immediately scrambled to her feet as Trevors face fell flat on the floor from not realising that Maya had shot up at seeing Josh.

Josh raised an eyebrow at the scene in front of him and sighed at his stupid best friend looking back at the blonde in front of him as she stared at him in awe. He smiled weakly as he dropped the bag to the floor handing it to Vincent's maid urging her to bring it to him.

He nodded at her as he began to walk up the stairs to get out of his dirty clothes.

Maya sighed looking back at Trevor to see him staring with a raised eyebrow before she looked back up at the stairs slowly moving towards them as she made her way towards there room.

Maya swallowed weakly before opening the door to see Josh looking at himself in the mirror studying his features.

Maya walked up behind him staring at him through the mirror as she looked at him. He slowly slowly turned around to look down at her.

''Hey''Josh whispered staring at her,Maya smiled weakly at him before she gently hugged him as she pulled away.

''I'm sorry that I scared you''Josh stated sighing running a hand through his hair.

Maya smiled weakly again as she slowly unbuttoned his shirt as they locked eyes and she slowly slid it off his shoulder.

''You need to go shower Joshua''Maya said throwing his shirt on the the ground before sitting on the edge of the bed.

''I promise I'll be here when you get back''Maya continued as Josh stared at her. He nodded before walking towards her and kissing her forehead as he grabbed a towel heading towards the door.

''Is that a threat or a promise?'Josh murmured never turning around still walking.

Maya smiled gently as he stopped in front of the door in the doorway.

''It's a promise''Maya replied as he smiled without her looking and continued out the door.
