*Lacey's pov*

"Yes! I'm done!" I mentally high five myself. I bring the remaining empty boxes out of my room and go to the kitchen, where my mom is cooking some food. "What's the occasion?" I ask her. "I'm making some food for our new neighbors and you're coming with me to greet them." I bring my head up and sigh. "Do I have to?" My mom looks at me and only responds with "is that what you are going to wear?" I look down at my clothing. Black jeans, white t-shirt, and uggs slippers. "Yeah, just let me grab my phone and sweater."

I run back into my room and see both of my sisters, Hailey and Hannah (they're twins), looking at my wall. "Whoa Lacey, you have a lot posters." Hailey says. I look at my wall, then look back at her and shrug. "Yeah, can I have that 5 Seconds of Summer poster? You already have a lot." Hannah adds. I just roll my eyes. She knows I'm going to say no.

"I'm going to meet the other neighbors with mom, make sure to watch Angel." I tell my 11-year-old sisters. They are really short. Some say they look like miniature me's, but I honestly don't see the similarity. Angel is our 5-year-old little brother. He's the only boy child in the family. I am the oldest out of all of us. Sometimes it sucks, but I get more privileges.

"Okay" Hailey and Hannah say in unison, breaking me out of my thoughts. I hate when they do that, it's scary. I grab my phone, earbuds, and my "I heart NY" sweater, and walk over to my mom.

We walk out the door and I plug in one earbud on my right ear. "I heard this family is also Mexican, so we are going to their place first." My mom says and I just nod. My mom walks faster than me so she reaches the family's front door first, with me a couple feet farther. I see her walk into the place and I quickly jog over there. A woman, who's really short and looks pretty young, closes the door behind me. My mom and the lady start talking and I feel my phone buzz. I turn my back to them and check who texted me.

Melanieee:
Hey are you free today?

Me:
No, I'm meeting the neighbors all day.

I put my phone back into my pocket and turn around only to find myself into someone's arm, catch me, before I could McFall.

I look up and see a boy, who looks to be around my age, with brown eyes, he wears glasses, pretty pale for a Mexican, and a few inches taller than me.

He lets go of me and before I can thank him for catching me, he says "watch where you're going. You have eyes, use them."

That little... "Asshole" I say under my breath. "What did you just say?" He asks, straightening up. If he thinks I'm intimidated by him, he better try harder.

"I said asshole. You have ears, use them." I fired back.

He looks a bit shock, but he quickly tries to hide it and he stares at me. I cross my arms over my chest and stare back at him.

I hear someone cough and I look over this asshole's shoulders. My mom and the lady look at each other and the lady turns around to face us.

"Alexander," so that's the asshole's name, "why don't you take her out somewhere, show her around the neighborhood." He nods and looks at me with amusement. I almost choke on my spit, but cover it up with a cough.

"Uh n-no that won't be necessary." I say to the lady. "Lacey!" My mom looks at me and I know I would not get out of this one.

"Okay, Mrs uhh.." "Juliet" the lady finishes my sentence for me. I shoot her a small smile. "Mrs. Juliet, what time should we be back?" I ask her.

"Before dinner" my mom responds, "I'll stay here with Mrs Juliet and talk." I nod and say bye to my mom and Mrs. Juliet before heading out the door with Alexander.

"Well this will be fun, won't it?" Alexander says with a smirk, that really makes me want to hit him with a truck.

I play around with my bracelet. Let's see how this day goes. I say in my head while mentally punching this asshole's face.

If anyone is wondering, both Lacey's and Alexander's family are Mexican. I made the parents know how to speak and understand English because it's much easier and not such a hassle. I'm aware that their names aren't as Hispanic, but YOLO!!

Next update: I don't really know.
