I'm so thankful that I met Lauren. She is a real life saver. If it wasn't for her we wouldn't have a home. We would be stuck with our father.
Right now I'm about to be in the car with Lauren about to go pick up Sofi from Dinah's. She wanted to be with Dinah because she feels safe.
Dinah can really give someone a Poly beat down. Dinah has really gotten to the point she is not our friend, she is like our big sister. I know you might be thinking "Camila, you are older than Dinah". Well yes, I am older than her by a couple of months. Its just, Dinah acts older than what she really is.
After zoning out for the whole time in my head, Lauren has been trying to get my attention. I let Dinah take my car because she walked to the Coffee Shop.
"Camz!!" She says waving her hand in my face. "You have to tell me where Dinah lives" she says smiling at me.
"Oh! Yeah. Its on Rose and Post. Three streets down from the coffee shop." I say slightly blushing. She has a very nice smile.
"That's not far at all." She said as she started the car.
Five minutes later we get into the front of Dinah's house. We heard loud music playing, and I know exactly who the singer is... Beyoncé. I giggle to myself because Dinah loves Beyoncé.
"What's so funny?" Lauren asks me, almost laughing at how I giggle. I look down and blush. I put my hair over my face so she wouldn't see
"Just the music that is playing from Dinah's room. She really loves Beyoncé. She has become gay for her." Lauren looks at me in surprise and starts laughing. I giggle again because her laugh is really cute.
"I'll go get Sofi, I'll be right back." I say trying to catch my breath, and trying to stop blushing so hard.
I run to the door and knock and get no answer. I do another knock and ring the door bell. Still. No answer. I go to the back of the house to where I usually get in. I get in through her parents room. Just in case my dad follows, they are already ready with a special code for house lock down.
I climb the back tree, and get into the house. Her parents are at work so I'm not bothering anyone right now.
I open the door to be trampled by all Dinah's siblings. I was soon covered by a small blanket. Even the youngest baby has me in his blanket. After a good 30 seconds I get them off of me. After I get hugs from all of them.
I open Dinah's door to see her dancing around with makeup in her hand and my little sister. She looks at me and turns off the music. Sofi turns around and looks at me.
"Dinah!!! What did you do to her! She was so innocent and soft and now she looks like she is a 18 year old!! A really small 18 year old!!" I almost yell.
"We are just being girls! Calm down mila. It can wash off." She says looking a bit sad. I run to hug her and say thank you for taking care of Sofi.
Lauren hunks the horn and I grab Sofi and go. We got into the car and Lauren was completely silent. She looks at sofi and she jumps
"What the hell happened to my princess?! What happened to my sweet innocent Sofia!? She says reaching back in her seat for Sofi's hand.
"Dinah and her were "being girls". I almost yelled at her" I say trying not to get upset.
"She looks like an 18 year old! I need my sweet innocent Sof back." She says with a pout that is adorable
"I said the exact same thing! She is not a barbie doll. She is too young for that much makeup. The most I'll let her wear is lip gloss" I say looking at Sofi. I see her playing with her hand. Definitely my sister
"We can wash it off when we get home. Sofi? Did you give your sister the thing?" She asked and I looked confused
"Oh! I have it right here." She grabs a bag that looks like it's from the Coffee shop "Lolo got this for us last night. Its still good" she says with a small smile handing over the bag
I look into the bag to see a cinnamon roll. My mouth drops to the bottom of the seat. I look at Lauren to see a smile on her face. The smile says "You're welcome".
We drive off into the opposite direction of the house. I looked confused at Lauren.
"Lo? The house is the other way. Turn around." She just smirks and keeps driving. Where is she taking us?
Five minutes later we are at the mall. What are we doing here? I think to myself. We all get out of the car and I ask "what are we doing here?" I ask Lauren.
I seen what clothes you have with you and its almost none. So I am buying you two clothes, and I'm not taking "no" as an answer" she tells me and takes mine and Sofi's hand and we walk towards the entrance
"Lolo?" Sofi ask.
"Yes monkey?" She says and it makes my little one giggle.
"Can I have a phone?" She ask and my eyes went wide
"Oh! No no no! No phones! You will lose it right away, and I don't have the money for the bill. I can barely pay for mine!" I say worried about what can happen
"Don't be silly, Camz. I can help you with that. Of course you can have one. I am also going to put a tracker on it so if anything happens,me or Camz can track it. So if something happens that you go missing we have a place to help find you. We can even have someone watch over you if its okay with you and Camz" she says squeezing my hand slightly.
"Oh! Yes! Please can I have a body guard?!" She squeals and jumps up and down
"She'll be more like a big sister. She is an undercover spy. She is trained to watch over young people I tell her too" Lauren says. Now I'm convinced
"If she is trained to watch over people then I'm fine with that. She will go everywhere Sofi goes right? Even to school?" I ask interested in this person that can keep my sister safe.
"She has papers saying she can be assigned as a special agent to watch over everyone but mostly Sofi. So she can go to Sofi's school but she has to protect everyone in that class as best as she can." She says as we walk into the mall
"That's fine with me. And its a yes for the phone as well" I say and sofi jumps with joy.
"Time to go shopping, loves" Lauren says missing my cheek and kissing Sofi's head. I blush and can't believe I'm falling for someone I just met at a Coffee Shop
