~~Lily is still in potions~~
Lily quickly stirred her potion, and got back to work. She looked around the room. Sirius had already managed to blow up his cauldron. James was trying his best to clean up the potion, and by the looks of it, he was going to need to go to hospital wing for his hands. Lily looked to the other side of the room. They had double potions with the slytherin's so she looked over to her friend, Severus. Severus was laughing with his horrible Slytherin friends; Avery, Mulciber, Malfoy, Nott, Crabbe, Lestrange, Black, Black, and Goyle. Avery was taunting a fellow Gryffindor, and calling her a mudblood, so Lily took matters into her own hands. "Langlock," Lily murmured, pointing her wand at Avery. He instantly started flailing his arms and talking rubbish, because his tongue was stuck to the roof of his mouth. Lily laughed along with the rest of the Gryffindor second years.
"Nice one, he deserved it," James mouthed to Lily. "Thanks," Lily mouthed back. Mulciber, having seen Lily, glared at her. Lily narrowed her eyes at him. "Mudblood," Mulciber said loudly to Lily. Lily felt her eyes water, but she instantly fixed herself, not wanting him to see that he hit a nerve. Too late. "Hit a nerve, have I Mudblood?," Mulciber said to Lily. She wondered where in the world Slughorn could have been at this moment. She spared a glance to her side, and saw none other than James Potter there. She looked at her other side, and there stood Sirius Black. Bellatrix Black instantly overlooked the scene. "Ah, hello little bloodtraitor cousin. Nice to see you," she said shrewdly to Sirius.
"I don't think I can say the same to you," Sirius said with his eyes narrowed at Bellatrix, and Lily wondered if he was acting braver than he felt. "Didn't your parents teach you any manners?," Bellatrix teased. "I'm afraid I won't take what my parents taught me into account," Sirius retorted. Mulciber cut in. "Lay off, Bellatrix. We have to deal with the mudblood." James clenched his hand tighter around his wand at these words. Lily glared at Mulciber. "Densaugeo!," James shouted with his wand pointed at Mulciber. Mulciber's front teeth kept growing, growing, and growing until they were larger than a rabbit's buck teeth. That was exactly when Slughorn took notice of the situation. "Potter! Detention in my room at eight o'clock!," Professor Slughorn shouted. With a flick of his wand, Mulciber's teeth went back to normal. Mulciber looked smug at not being caught. Lily looked outraged.
"Okay Professor." James had waved off the detention like it was nothing, once again. Lily was cursing the professor in her head. How could he do that?! Mulciber started it! James sighed. "Lily. Really. It's fine. It's nothing I haven't dealt with before." That just made Lily fume more. "Mulciber should be the one punished!" Lily screeched, causing the class to look at her. James smiled grimly. "You wouldn't want to ruin your reputation by sticking up for me, now would you?"
