His POV
As I wait for her to arrive, I stare at the night sky and remembered how she always liked to count the stars and then fall asleep in my arms. How she mumbles in her sleep and hug me tight when she is cold. And how her eyes twinkle when I say how much I love her.
Then when I looked at the next street, I saw her. I saw how she looked the first time I saw her. I then immediately stood up from where I sat and waited for her to cross the street.
And when she was nearly a few feet away from me, I instantly hugged her. I hugged her like there was no tomorrow. She then hesistantly hugged me back.
After that I broke the hug and cupped her face. As I looked into her beautiful brown eyes, I know I must now tell her the truth but she just held my hand and smiled sadly at me.
'Are you going to tell me that you're sorry?'
That question caught me off guard and I immediately let go of her face.
'How did you know that?'
Before she could answer, she sat down on the bench first an signaled me to sit down.
'How did I know? When you broke up with me I already know that you did it because you want me to pursue my dream.'
'You already know? Then how come you didn't tell me?'
'I was going to, but you hurriedly left me and I don't know where you went after that.'
'Did you accept the offer?'
'No, I didn't'
'Why? I thought that was your dream? That's what you told me.'
'Yes, that was my dream. But suddenly you came into my life'
Then she looked at the night sky as if she was talking to it and not me.
'When you came into my life, All the dreams that I am thinking of pursuing left my mind. And all I can think is my future life with you. Will we have kids? Perfect jobs? Perfect marriage?'
As she said all of those, Tears begin to flow out from her eyes and now I regretted the time I left her. I didn't think about the consequences and pain that I gave her.
I just hugged her and repeatedly apologized for what I have done.
Her POV
As I was crying in his arms, he kept apologizing to me. I know that he is regretting what he has done but I just want to let it all out. This is the first time I cried really hard after he left me.
Minutes have passed and I was still crying, My breathing is now hard and I am now hyperventilating which caught his attention and he suddenly panicked. He doesn't know what to do so I just smiled and told him I was fine.
'Don't scare me like that, okay?'
He said while wiping the tears left in my face.
'Don't worry, I won't...'
'Hey, listen...I know I'm a jerk for leaving you that time, but I had no choice but to do it. I want you to pursue your dreams. I want to see you become successful. But I guess that what I did just hurt you and I more.' he said to me. 'Thank you for making you your dream now, and sorry for all that I've done to you.'
And the last thing he said to me made me cry again.
'I still love you, I lied about telling you that I didn't love you. But the truth is I love you very much, to the moon and back.'
