Chapter 3

I was waken up by the bright light and Shawn's singing voice. "Morning princess" he smiles and puts the guitar down. "Did you sleep well" I nodded.

I got up and told Shawn that I have to go he nodded and took me home. I arrived at my house and I see my mom looking at me like she is piss. "Where have you been?" she gave me a dirty look. "I was sleeping at---"

"A boy's house right. I bet you---"

"I didn't, I would never do--"

"Don't you dare talk to me like that" she snapped. "Ma please why are you like this?" I never seen my mom like that. "Enough with those questions!" she pushed me down to the ground and what she did hurted me, she beats me up.

Shawn's POV

I hear loud thumping from  Gabbi's house, so I ran inside and I see her getting beaten up from her mom. "ENOUGH!" I yelled at her mom and grabbed Gabbi in my arms. "Who the hell are you?"

"Gabbi's friend now why are you abusing your daughter?" 

"Cause she's my daughter, I can do what I want with her" she snapped. "Ma, please doesn't mean I'm your daughter doesn't mean you can abuse me" Gabbi sobbed.

"Stop being a cry baby" she tried grabbing Gabbi away from me but I held her. "Hurt her one more time, I will call the cops."

"Whatever" she rolled her eyes. "We're not finished yet" her mom whispers in Gabbi's ear then she passed out after her mom slapped her so hard.

Gabbi's POV

"We're not finished yet" my mom whispered in my ear and slapped me and I passed out. I woke up on the bed and Shawn sitting there with Aaliyah and his mom. "Gabbi!" Aaliyah yelled and hugged me. "Hey Gabbi, we heard what happened so we called the cops and they got your mom" Karen said. "Thank you" I smiled back.

"Anytime, you can stay here as long as you like" Karen smiled and left me with Shawn. "Oh um here is a bowl of soup. I've cleaned up your cuts and bruises."

"Thank you Shawn" I smiled. "Anytime for my princess" Shawn smiles. "By the way you should get some rest" Shawn plants a kiss on my forehead and I fell asleep.

I woke up and I see my mom sitting there. "Mom?" I look at her surprisingly. "Hello Gabriella" she had a evil smile and a knife pointing at me. "Ma please don't hurt me" I started to cry. "Oh honey, it's gonna hurt just a tiny bit" she let out a evil laugh and when she was about to stab me, I woke up and scream out Shawn.

"SHAWN!!!" I breathe harder and started to cry a bit until Shawn came in. "Gabbi are you alright?" he rushed in an saw me crying. "What's wrong?"

"I-I-I had a nightmare a-a-about m-my mo-mom" I said in between my sobs. "I'm scared. I-I don't want to be alone"

"Shh it's alright, want me to sing for you and cuddle you?" I nodded. Shawn grabbed out his guitar and sang his song Never be alone.

Shawn's POV

After playing my guitar, I saw Gabbi asleep. I wiped some of her tears away from her face, climbed on the bed and cuddled her so I can sleep.
