The beginning of the end

Me, Jase, Kiki, and Ryan all were inthe kitchen making breakfast, Kiki was making a banana smoothie,Ryan was making a giant plate of waffles, Jase and I were sittingdown at the table just drinking an energy drink and a granolabar....We usually don't eat breakfast, but today was different. Todaywe were starting on a trip across town to go get someweapons.....Some people may consider us criminals...The people thatare left that is....We are in the middle of a zombie apocalypse theinfection started out fairly slow but as soon as you got it there wasno cure so people started dropping like flies. I looked over at Ryanand said.

"Yo Ryan you almost done you havebeen making waffles for the past half hour and we need to startgetting ready to go."

He looked back at me and said " Mydearest Claire the art of making waffles is a very delicate processit is like Hockey in hockey you must...." "Let me stop you rightthere" I said very sarcastically. "I have had enough Hockeymetaphors to last me a life time" I look over at Jase and then hestands up and puts his granola wrapper in the trash while stilllooking at his phone....I just stare at him and then I remember howgood his life had been been before all of this happened and now hehad to stand up and take charge, and be a part of something thatnobody should have to go through....He looked over at me and said"Claire whats wrong?" I just stood up looked at him and said"nothing" and walked outside while saying "I need to go get mydog be right back guys." I went outside and I cried....I cried forthe friends and family I lost.....I cried for my friends family thatis gone. I cried because I knew that Our lives would never be thesame again.......My dog Suishi walked over to me and laid her head onmy legs and just looked at me as if she knew something waswrong.....I just petted her and I slowly stopped crying...

I got up and grabbed Suishi's leash andslowly walked back up the stairs to the house...As soon as I got backinside I walked over to the pantry and grabbed a couple more granolabars and threw them into my backpack along with my wallet and myhand gun. I stepped into the living room and Jase looked at me andsaid "you okay babe?" I was just like " Yeah, fine....Where isKiki and Ryan?" Jase responded "I have no clue I think that Ryanis upstairs finishing doing his hair, and Kiki is finishing packingher bag." "Okay" I said......."Do you know how far back Keithis and where he wants us to meet him?" " Yeah....He said that heis 10 miles up in Pasco he wants us to meet him in the Red Lion Hotelhe said he would be in the club."

Our friend Keith had been gone for acouple days looking for more weapons because we are trying to findenough weapons and ammo to store up for at least the winter monthsand then once it gets warmer we can head out again.....So for thenext 2 weeks we will be out in Pasco to meet up with Keith grab theweapons and raid the Jail there and get my uncle out if he is stillalive even....my uncle was taken for murdering 23 people and with hismad skills he might just be able to help us in this situation...."Guys I am ready to go!" Ryan shouting while half running/halffalling down the stairs. " Kiki where are you?!" I shouted. I ranup the stairs and guess where I found her asleep on her bed with herpack right beside her.

I left the room walked over to thecloset grabbed the blow horn I got for my birthday last year wentdown stairs walked into the kitchen and grabbed a pair of scissors,and started prying at the package....Ryan looked up at me from thecouch that he was sitting on loading his hand gun next to Jase, andsaid what the heck are you doing with that? I just looked at him witha look of annoyance but also of excitement because I really wanted todo this, and said " Kiki fell asleep on her bed while packing so Idecided I'm going to give her a little wake up call." I have got tosee this." Ryan started laughing....I finished opening the packageand we both ran back up the stairs and walked over to Kiki's room.Ryan couldn't hold back his laughing so we had to wait outside thedoor and wait for him to stop laughing before we entered herroom....We both walked in the room, and looked at each othermischievously and then put the blow horn by her ear and suddenlyall you hear and see is Kiki screaming and falling off thebed.......After she is done being a paranoid baby I said "We weresupposed to be out of the house a whole hour ago! "OKAY OKAY I AMSORRY!!" She screamed. I think that I might have damaged her earsjust a little bit. Jase walked back in the house and said " youguys all ready to go?" We all grabbed our bags and made sure thatwe had all of our stuff, and I made sure I had my keys and my extrabullets then I locked the door, and Kiki, and Ryan were in the car,and Jase was waiting for me by the door.....After I locked the door Ilooked him and he grabbed my hand and said "don't worry, we gotthis." I just looked at him gave him a quick kiss and smiled andwent and got in the front seat of my charcoal colored F-150...ThenJase started the car, and We slowly pulled out of the driveway, and Ilooked back at the house hoping that I would get to come back toit....soon.
