Finding "Billy"???

I woke up around 12:30with Suishi growling right by my ear. I sit up and look around RyanJase and Kiki were still all sound asleep....I thought Suishi hasjust heard a zombie outside so I layed my head back down and wasslowly drifting off again when she started growling again. I trustSuishi's instincts so I sat up again and grabbed my flashlight andgun out of my backpack....I looked over at Jase and said "psst"he sat up, looked at me and furrowed his eye brows I just signaled tohim to get up with me and go check out what I had heard. So hegrabbed his gun and got up with me and we walked up and down theaisles but we saw nothing so we walked over to the stairs, and weheard a moan, Jase looked over at me and cocked his gun. We tip toedover to the stairs and saw a man laying down on the stairs bleedingout of his side. We ran up the stairs and I shouted "Kiki, Ryan getover here!"

A second later Kiki andRyan had joined us on the stairs I looked back down at thesubconscious man and said "can you hear me." he just mumbled andthen his eyes rolled back into his head, Kiki let out a little yelp.I said " Jase grab his upper body and Ryan grab his lower body weneed to get him into the kitchen. I saw a first aid box in therehopefully there is a needle and thread in there b/c I think we aregoing to need it. Jase started to pick up his body and Ryan juststood there doing nothing. Jase looked up at Ryan and said "Dude Ineed you to work with me here this man needs help and he needs itnow!" Ryan as pale as a ghost slowly looked up from the man, andthen looked Jase in the eyes. Ryan hesitated..... " What if he isinfected what if he was bitten and managed to stumble into somewheresafe so he wasn't eaten..?" Jase paused for a second and thenlooked up and replied " We still don't know if he even is so we aregoing to help him until we find out." " and if we find out heis?" Ryan said while shaking. "You know what we have to do then."Jase said sadly. Ryan looked back down at the man and helped Jasepick him up. They both walked back down the stairs and carried himinto the kitchen and set him on the table. Kiki had started a fire inthe brick stove and I was standing by the man with the first aid kitlooking for thread and a needle. Jase had ripped open the mans shirtand was examining the wound...."It doesn't look like a zombie biteor scratch it actually looks like he fell on something sharp." hedeclared. I just said "good" still scrambling to find theneedles. I was about to say Ryan come help me get him on oxygen, butwhen I looked over at him he was at the sink vomiting so I justlooked over at Kiki and said "help me get him on some oxygen."she grabbed the small tank and went over to the man's face and put iton. Ryan slowly stepped away from the sink and came back lookingsomewhat better and said "What can I do?" I looked at him andsmiled and said "can you actually help me look for some needles Ireally need one." He smiled back at me and said "Sure." withina few minutes we had finally found a needle. I walked over to the manthreaded the needle. Jase looked over at me and said " I took amore better look at the wound to see if there was anything in there,and I didn't see anything in it so I think it is safe for you tostitch it up." I just looked down at the wound wondering if I wouldbe able to even do this and said "thanks Jase."

As I was stitching thewound, the man, luckily for me stayed passed out. I was just hopingthat he hadn't lost too much blood and he would soon wake up again.About 9 o clock the next day we all got up and decided to look aroundthe bakery for some breakfast now that we could see what we weredoing, but first we all went in and checked on the man he was stillout cold, but he was not as pale and his breathing was more normal sowe had hope. While Jase and Ryan started the stove up to get thekitchen warm, Kiki and I scoured the cabinets looking for some foodthat hadn't been handled before. Soon enough we found a cabinet withpreserved fruit, it just about made my day when I saw a jar full ofpeaches. Kiki squealed a little burst of happiness when she saw a jarfull of strawberries, and the boys just grabbed one and sat down andstarted eating, I don't think they cared what they were eating, Ithink they were just glad to have something to eat for breakfast. Ilooked up at them and I said "Okay guys because of last night Ithink we should stay here for one more night at least and we madeexcellent time yesterday on the way here. We made it almost half wayand we were only supposed to make it about a quarter of the wayhere." Jase responded and said " I agree with Claire I think weshould stay here another night or two. We could take a look at someof the shops and they have a car lot down the road and about a mileand a half down they have a gun shop." This time Kiki said " Ithink that You boys should head out and take a look at the gun shopClaire you should go take a look at the car lot and I should stayhere and watch Billy." I look at Kiki with a stupid look and said "umm....Kiki, he is still asleep we don't know his name." she lookedback at me and said " no duh Claire I just got tired of calling himthe man and so I am calling him Billy, besides he looks like a Billyto me." I just looked back at her and gave a little laugh and saidwhatever Kiki, and me and the boys walked out the door to go take alook at the gun shop and the car lot.
