Shakes' P.O.V

The temperature topped out at 98 degrees on the day out lives were forever altered. Again the roof seemed like a suitable place to sunbathe. "It's too hot" John moaned. "Quit whining" Nicole responded lying on her back. Mikey pacing up and down looking around. "You you sit down Mikey your making me feel anxious!" I say. "We haven't hit the hot dog stand in a couple of weeks" Mikey says looking down. "Er.. I dunno Mikey. I mean that guy can get real pissed. And besides the Tarmac on the road has probably melted from the heat" Tommy says. "I am pretty hungry ya'know" I say. "Well... we can eat hot dogs, or we can eat air...choose?" Mikey said. Nicole was the unfortunate chosen one, but the advantage of her long legs were appropriate for this scam. Nicole's P.O.V The scam was simple I was to walk up to the hot dog vendor and order what I wanted. The vendor would then hand me my hot dog and watch as I ran off without paying. This left the vendor with two choices, neither very appealing. He could stand his ground and swallow his loss, or he could give chase. The second forces him to abandon the cart where my friends could feast in his absence. The man looked at me up and down witha slight smile on his face, i feel uncomfortable, al the more reason fo the scam. "erm...mustard and onions. No soda." I say. "I know you" He replies whilst getting my hotog. "I look like a lot of people" "I don't think so, i'm sure i would of remembered you" I look ehind me where Tommy, Michael, Shakes and john were standing ready to make there move, Michael looks slighy anxious at the ay the hotdog guy was taking to me. He reluctently haned over my hotog, i took it slowly. "I'm gonna need two napkins" I said, next ting i knew i was sprintng away "hey! Pay my money theif!" the man called behind me. He was coming fast. Meanwhie The others were feasting on the masses of food the cart held. "Ohh ketchup. Sodas" "Ey, pass us the buns" "Geez" "Huh these things are heavier than they look" Mikey says whilst weighing up the cart. "They have a gas tank to keep the food hot, there heavier than shit" Shakes replies. "Why you bothered about the weight?" John asks. "Thought we could move it. Be a nice surprise for when the guy comes back and sees his carts not there" mike laughs. I kept running. Past Mos dry cleaning and clos diner. The guy tired at 4th and 5th. "Give up" I whispered gasping for breath. He swiped his arm along his forehead wiping off the sweat. I legged it again. He followed. Meanwhile... "What's the matter Mike?" Tommy asks taking a swig of coke. "Nic's taking too long, she should of been back by now" "She'll be fine, she's Nicole" shakes said gargling. Just then I ran round the corner to find all four boys stood with the cart. I threw the hotdog on the floor as a ran. "You guys were suppose to take the hotdogs not the wagon" I shout. "Now she tells us" John says. "He's coming fast Mikey" I say to Michael who replied "I've got an idea, to the subway" Although five or us were running with the cart it was still heavy to push especially since we were sweating in the heat. The plan was to hold it at the top of the steps of the subway entrance then when the man came to claim the cart, we'd leave him struggling to pull it back up. That's when we would make our escape. "Aggghhhh I can't hold it" "It's too heavy" "I'm gonna drop it" "I can't hold it" The cart slipped out of our grasps tumbling down the steps. "GOD NO!" John shouts, a man walking across in direct line of the falling cart, he's too busy reading his newspaper. "Agghh" the elderly man was squashed against the wall on top of him, a hotdog cart. A crowd of people gathered behind us including the hotdog man who was panting in exhaustion. "Oh my god" "Jesus Christ! What has you kids done?!" A lady whispered in shock. "I think we just killed a man" Michael had his arm across my chest. We were all in shock at what we just did.
