"Just be careful, we should've trained more, I'm sorry." Jace said as all six of us ran down to Sixth Street.
We shook our heads. I still couldn't get the thought of Cody dying because of me. I felt my phone vibrate with a call. I looked at Jace, who nodded, telling me I could answerer it. I fished it out of my pocket and kept my pace with Jace.
"Maggs?"
I looked at the team around me and Sarah put her hand on my knee. "Cody, Babe? Are you okay?"
He sighed shakily. "I don't know. I'm stuck in some room and they won't let me leave. There's this other guy with me and I think he said were in some hotel."
"What's going on?" Alec demanded.
I put my hand up, silencing Alec. I turned to Clary. "What does your best friend look like?" I heard Alec sigh roughly but brushed it off.
"He's thin, brown headed, glasses."
"Annoying as hell." Alec spat.
"Can you shut up?" Clary asked him.
"Cody, can you tell me what the guy looks like?" I asked, my hands shaking.
"He's thin, shaggy brown hair, black glasses. He said his name was Simon Lewis. Why?"
"We're with his best friend." I told him and turned to Jace. "He said he thinks they're in some hotel, do you have any idea where that could be?"
He nodded. "That's right down the street. We can be there in five minutes."
"Cody, Baby, stay calm. We're coming to get you.
"We?"
"Sarah, me, Jace Harondale, Clary Fairchild, and Isabelle and Alec Lightwood. Don't worry they're nice, well Alec's questionable. We're coming to get you, Baby. Five minutes. I love you so much and I know you can do this. Just stay calm for me." I was met with silence. "Cody James!!!!!!!!" I pulled my phone away and saw the call had dropped. I hung up and looked at Clary. "The call was dropped. What if they kill him?"
"They might." Alec input.
"Really, Alec? They won't kill him, they know we want him." Izzy said.
"Right up here." Jace said and we all picked up our pace as we saw a black building come into view.
Jace pulled out his Seraph blades, Izzy uncurled her whip from her wrist, and Alec notched his bow. Jace opened the door, met with utter darkness.
"This is not good. They usually meet us at the door, they think they can win." Alec and Jace muttered under their breath.
