Part 5

~skip to day of flight~

I had stayed at my Aunts hotel for the 2 nights as I really didn't wanna go home. I knew I had to, to get my things but I didn't wanna face seeing my mum and having to talk about things because I didn't have the strength for another argument.

'You have to say goodbye to her Jasmine, a lot can happen in 3 months, (A/N it's June in the story btw) you don't know what might happen and you'll never live with yourself if you don't say goodbye.'

My Aunt was always good with words. I just sighed and nodded, my ankle was fine but it was raining, so I called the number the boy had given me in hope I would get a lift.

'Hello, Reuben speaking.' He said into the phone with a sexy, morning accent.

'Hey, I'm Jas, you gave me your number after you dropped me to my hotel, I was Hoping you could do me a favour.'

'Anything for you, what do you need?'

'A lift home? It's raining and then maybe a lift to the airport? I don't feel like leaving my car there, please? I would really appreciate it.' I said, trying to make my voice as sweet as I could make it.

'Give me 10 minutes, I'll text you when I'm outside.' He said, hanging up without a reply.

'Who was that?' My aunt asked me, walking into the room.

'Just this boy I met the other day, he gave me a lift here.'

'Oh, well that's lovely, I'll see you at 3:30pm, that's when we get on the plane  Jasmine okay?'

'Yes Aunt Becky, I'll be there don't worry, bye.'

I waved and started walking out of the room and into the corridor. I walked over to the lifts (elevators btw lol) got in and waited at reception until
I saw a familiar car pull up and I knew it was my ride.

'Hello there again Jasmine.' He said with a smile.

'Hello there again Rueben.'

He started the car and we started to have a random conversation about the ocean and if we think mermaids are real.

I really like this boy, he really made me smile. Obviously, it was nothing like how I felt with Nash, but it was something, and everything amazing, starts with something small. After like 5 minutes we were already at my house.

'Thanks again for the lift, bye.'I said kindly

'What about the airport silly!' He said looking into my eyes.

'You sure?'

'Positive, I'll wait here while you get your bags.'

I did as I was told and went to get my bags. I walked into my house, only to see my mum cooking breakfast with a big smile on her face. That's weird. My mum never smiles.

'Hello darling, breakfast??'

'No.' I said bluntly, I know it's a bit mean but I'm still mad at her.

She just frowned a bit while I went upstairs to grab my bags. I didn't think I was missing anything so I just turned off my light and left.

My dad was home so I gave him a kiss on the cheek and told him I loved him. I then went to my mum and kissed her on the cheek also. This took her by surprise and she hugged me so tight.

'Goodbye mum.' I said and gave her a weak smile.

I then proceeded to walk back to Rueben's car which, just like he said, was in the same place.

'Ready gorgeous?'

'Ready.'
