Brittany POV

Liam honks outside. I quickly gather up my things and head out. "Hey Liam, thanks for driving me!"

"No problem Bri," He says. I love when he uses that name. It's special because he, and he only uses that nickname. When we were little he couldn't pronounce Brittany, so he called me Bri, its been like that ever since.

We pull into school and get out if the car. He locks it and we go inside. As we walk in whispers are everywhere. They are all looking at us.

Why are they looking at us? Liam is just a friend. Why do they all think he is more then that?

We walk away from them all to go to my locker. We see Maria standing there. "Hey guys!" She chirps. Someone is excited.

"Hey," we say.

"Guess what?" She asks looking at us with wide eyes and a big smile.

"What?"

"Tonight we-" The sound of the shrill bell rings interrupting Maria. "Bye guys" Liam says.

Maria and I are walking to 1st period. "What did you want to tell me?" I ask.

"Uhh! I have to wait until we are all together!" She says with a pout.

"You'll have to wait until lunch then" I point out.

"Yea I know. Hey good luck with your date!" She wiggles her eyebrows while smirking. I look behind me to see what she's talking about and see Blake in his spot. I mentally groan as I walk slowly to where he is.

Maria I am so gonna kill you! I thought.

"Hey, Blake" I say.

He looks up from his phone to look at me and he scowls and ignores me. Fine dont say hi!

I sit down, as soon as the teacher comes in.

"All right!" He claps his hands together. "Today I have a real treat for you guys." Blake puts his phone in his pocket. "We will be starting on a project!"

Ooh I love projects. And I can do it with Maria.

"We are in Home Economics, so we need to know what to do when you guys all have kids of your own!" He smiles. I mentally groan. I have to do it with a boy!

"We are going to do the 'Baby Project'! You and a partner will be given a baby or babies, to take care of. But we won't start that yet. I will pick your partner's and you will come and get this sheet of paper," he says pointing to a piece of paper.

"You and your partner today will get your cards on how old you are, and what your job is. You will get this paper and it will have questions on it. You need to fill it out. And hand it in by next Friday! When I call you up come get your card."

He starts calling up names. "Ms Anderson"

My turn. I get up and get my card. I sit back down and read it.

Brittany Anderson:
23yrs old
A doctor.

I'm a doctor! Yay. I hope I get a good partner. "Ok everyone have a card?" We all nod our heads. "Ok I will now pick your partner's!" I swear I saw him smirk.

He's calling out names and I'm waiting for my name. "Ms Anderson," Again the smirk. "And Mr. Rivers." He says.

Are you fucking serious!! I can't be partner's with him.

"Yes Ms. Anderson, I am serious. You will work with him whether you like it or not."

I blush, realizing I said that out loud. "Mr. Do we have to work together?" A booming voice says. Blake.

"Yes it's final. Here is your paper. Good luck."

The bell rings. "Um when-" He leaves not letting me finish. Uh rude again.

"Have a good weekend everybody!"

"Hey guys" I say sitting down to eat.

"Hey" they reply.

"So, Maria, you gonna tell us this important thing?" Liam asks.

"Oh yes!" "There is a football game tonight, and after that is a party. We got invited!"

"Who's party is it?"

"Blake's" she says.

"Um I don't want to go, Maria." I say unsure.

"Oh come on please?" She gives me her puppy eyes and the lip. Damn it. Those get me every time.

"Fine" I sigh, "But I'm the designated driver."

"Ok!" " I can't wait!"
