*Niall's POV*
My tears were pouring out of my eyes while Rachel was hugging me tightly not planning on letting me go any time soon. I took a big breath in and let it out trying to calm down a little. I pulled away from the hug just enough for me to look straight into Rachel's now swollen and red eyes. "We were crossing the street and I ran ahead into the middle of the road, I didn't see a car coming, but you did. You ran and pushed me out of the way and" I paused letting yet another tear fall. "and I didn't save you in time." I looked into her eyes waiting for a response but she just looked at me with no emotion. I pulled away from the hug and went to turn to get out of the room but she grabbed my wrist. I turned my head to look at her and she just puts her arms out for another hug. As I got closer to her she sat up more.
"But Niall you did save me." she paused for a while smiling. "You've saved me every day since we met. That was my chance to save you for once."
"Rachel?"
"Yeah Ni?"
"Do you promise to never forget me?"
"It's impossible to forget you. Plus I'll probably have some more scars to remember you by." She was right she was going to get a few scars from this. But she's not alone I'll always have the scar on my heart reminding me I'm the reason why she's hurt.
