Chapter 4: What Are You?

                   (Skylar's pov:)
I walk home after following that creep six blocks from the boutique. I finally get home and my whole house is dead silent. I roll my eyes and walk upstairs to my room. As I step inside my room, my phone starts ringing.

     "Hello?"
"Hi Skylar."
      "Uh may I ask who's speaking?"
"M-my names Michael."
"I don't know anyone by the name Michael, sorry you just have the wrong number."
"B-but I thought you knew me?"
"I'm sorry. I don't know anyone by the name Michael."
"You have to know me. I know you, actually I know everything about you."
"Oh uh, okay. Bye."

I hang up and just stand there for a minute. I look around and take deep breaths. I jump as I hear a knock on my window. I look over, only to see Cara sitting there. I walk over and open my window and Cara jumps in. I smile and she motions me over towards my computer.

"Okay we have business to attend to."
"What kind of business?"
"Luke Hemmings."
"Isn't he dead?"
"That's what my mom said, BUT but there is a possibility that he faked his death. So we're going to do some research!!"
"It's six o'clock at night, and we have tests tomorrow, so can we please make this research quick?"
"Skylar don't give me that bullshit. You and I both know that you don't go to sleep this early."
"True. But I do need to ace this Algebra 1 test."
"That makes two of us."

I laugh and Cara pulls out my laptop. She starts it up and I sit on the edge of my bed. Cara finally pulls up Google and I stand up from my seat. I slowly walk over to where she is seated and watch as she pulls up Luke Hemmings "death record." As I read over the text, I see that he committed suicide. And it's not your typical suicide, he jumped off a cliff and killed himself. Or at least that's what this document says. I look over at Cara and she keeps her eyes focused on the screen. I sigh deeply and shake my head. Cara looks at me and says...

"But if he committed suicide what happened to the others?"
"That's a good question. I kind of wanna find that out to."
            "Why don't we look up his friends? That could be the key to this mystery."
"That's true."

         I nod and watch as Cara starts typing...
