"You have a very high chance of not being able to recall a few memories" he looks at me sympathetically, "although you seem like a very strong girl and you may pull through with your family helping you."
Memories? I rack my brain... I remember them all, "What do you mean?" I ask confused.
"Like, say you went to a friends birthday party. You know you went but can't recall the memory of doing it." he continues, "You hit your head very hard and you have some memory loss."
"Ummm.... I don't understand." I remember all...
"Yes we'll give you some time to think but we need you to inform us on what happened..." he pauses, "if you remember."
"I remember." I glare at the wall, "I already told my family."
"Maybe," the doctor looks at dad, "Mr. Michelson you could fill us in."
"Yes, of course." they get up and leave the room.
Chelsi comes and grabs my hand, "is there anything you can't remember?"
"Oh my gosh guys! I remember everything." I'm starting to get frustrated. How could that doctor know what's going on in my mind more than I do?
I nurse comes in and says, "I'm sorry I have to do a few tests and jade needs to rest."
They are getting up when Dawn looks back, "oh yeah your friends are coming over later today."
"Thanks. Bye love you guys."
"Love you to, bye."
The nurse does a few things, asks me a few questions and then tells me to rest. And despite being asleep for... for... "Excuse me maim?"
"Yes, dear?"
"How long have I been here?"
She flips some pages on a clipboard, "Three weeks and four days." she shuts the door and leaves.
Three weeks and four days?! How?! I see a pile of papers and skim through it, one word catches my attention. Coma.
I was in a Coma? Jeez... I'm gonna have to do a lot of homework for school.... My mind flicks back to my stone... I wonder if it's okay... there's a button next to the bed and I press it a voice comes on and I ask to have my brother sent in.
"Yeah?" he asks in the doorway.
"Can you bring me my backpack? From hiking?"
"Sure. Be right back."
"K thanks."

Dawn's pov
I felt a great tension lift off my shoulders when Jade awoke a while ago. I practically skipping with excitement and singing down the halls and in the elevator. She's awake! It's been so long since I heard my little sister's voice!
I reach the truck and search for her leather backpack finding it under a seat. I sling it over my shoulder and go back to the hospital.
Jade's pov
I hope he doesn't look in my bag... of all my siblings I would trust Dawn the most, he's deep, calm, doesn't blah. Yeah he can be a jerk but so can I, we fight we're brother and sister.
I get snapped out of my thoughts when Dawn enters and puts my bag on the bed. He has a cheerful expression and I'm glad he looks like he hasn't seen it. But I say it too soon.
Right when he sets it down it starts to hum and vibrate. Oh crap.
"What's that?" he asks curiously.
Uh oh... I could say it's my phone but what if they have it? "My tablet most likely. I'm gonna have to delete a million emails." I laugh and he smiles.
"Get some rest."
When he walks out I unbuckle the straps and take out the diamond like stone.
"Wow..." it starts to sing as if it had vocal chords, "I hope you weren't cold out there..." God I'm stupid! I'm talking to a rock. I feel like Patrick. I smile as a picture of the pink star fish enters my mind. Oh you gotta love spongebob.
I rub my hands across the stone when there's a knock on the door I shove the rock under the blanket, "Yeah?" I raise my voice.
"Can we come in?" Erik, no doubt. Erik's my second cousin and best friend, along with Jackson, (ironic? Yes he has the same name as my brother then we have a cousin named Jack. It gets confusing.) Natasha, Abraham, and Susan. They came in.
"Hey! What's up fabulous!" Natasha asks happily.
I laugh at her greeting, "I'm fine. You?"
"Oh my God jade you okay!" Screams Susan.
I smile at her and point both my index fingers while snapping my fingers.
"I love you jade!" she laughs and sits down.
I awkwardly say, "umm.. I... love... you to?"
"Are you okay?" Erik and Jackson ask.
"Yep." I say.
Abraham says, "See I told you she'd wake up."
Arguments start ask over the room containing, 'you did not!' or 'you said she'd die!" i laugh.
Finally they calm down.
"What's that humming sound?" Erik asks out of the blue.
Oh crap. "A machine most likely." I lie.
"Oh. Cool..."
"Yeah..." an awkward silence fell between us.
"Your dad told us you can be released tomorrow." Natasha says.
"Really? Did you guys here about my 'condition'" I ask using air quotations.
"Uhh... yeah.. We're sorry.." they sputter out.
"I'm fine. Really. I don't know where the doctors getting his information but it's wrong. I remember everything. You know besides me being young, but that didn't count I couldn't remember that stuff before."
"That's great!"
Then i get to the question I was wondering, "Susan, Natasha, Abraham?"
They look at me.
"Why are you here?"
"What?" they ask confused.
Okay maybe that came out harder than I expected it to... "I mean like you guys... we don't hang out much any more..."
"We hang out all the time!" Abraham says defensively.
"You've came over a few times Abraham... Natasha you've come to the mountain once, to my grandma's for my birthday and I've slept at your house once, and I was sick... Susan you slept at my grandma's house for that math thing and I hung out with you and your friends in Washington... I mean I'm glad you guys are here... just confused." I explain.
"Well just cause we don't hang out much doesn't mean we're not friends."
"I know that's not what I'm saying. I was just asking a question." after a awkward silence I yawn dramatically, "Well... I'll see you guys later, I'm tired."
They say their goodbyes and leave. I hadn't noticed how tired I was until I closed my eyes and I was out like a light.
