Chapter 5

He just silently nodded and put his head back in his hands. Your chest tightened and you turned and started climbing the stairs to your moms room. You got to the door and opened it. You dropped to your knees and broke down crying.

-Chapter 5-

You were sitting at your usual table for lunch. Everybody was talking and eating but you were just sitting there, silent and you hadn't touched your food. Your mind kept wandering back to the night before.

-Flashback- (Last night)

You sat there on the floor outside of your mothers room, bawling your eyes out.

You slowly got up and walked over to her bed. You looked at her. Her skin was pale and she was very skinny and frail. You placed your hand over hers. Her hand was ice cold. She was dead.

She had been sick for a little over six months with brain cancer. You remembered the day you found out she had cancer. You were completely heart broken. Seeing her laying there cold and pale gave you the same feeling. You started crying again. You knew she was in a better place now but it still hurt. Between sobs you managed to say the thing you wished you could have said to her before she died.

"Mom, I love you. Goodbye."

-End of flashback-

You were snapped out of your flashback by Eren who sat next to you and asked,

"(Y/N), are you okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine." You said with the best smile you could muster.

He didn't seem convinced but he just let it drop.

The bell rang signalling the end of lunch. You threw out your lunch and leaded to class.
