anakin's pov
"... and you will meet her today." obi wan finishes explaining what i must teach my new padawan. all i know about her is that she's 18... and a girl. i wonder if she has any experience at being a jedi, probably not. "anakin, whats wrong?" obi wan asks. "i..i'm just nervous thats all." i sigh. well i mean its kind of true. but i just really miss padamé. its been 2 years since her death... 2 years since darth sideous decapitated her because i refused to join the dark side. "excuse me?" a feminine voice calls out from behind me. i look over my shoulder and am face to face with a girl, a few inches shorter than i. "you must be the padawan, i'm obi wan kenobi." obi wan replies and shakes her hand. "nice to meet you master kenobi." i take this as my cue to introduce myself. "anakin, anakin skywalker. and you?" "kyla. kyla markham." she replies. her eyes remind me of padamés... oh how i miss padamé. snap out of it anakin! you can't get off task, the council has high expectations for you. i inhale and say, "kyla's a pretty name." she smiles. "thank you master skywalker." the way she calls me master... anakin! stop it! you just met the girl for crying out loud. she's probably just afraid of you! "well i'll leave you two to yourselves. anakin, please do what you must and then escort miss markham to her room." obi wan pats me on the back. "will do obi wan." i do an exaggerated solute and walk out of the room, kyla by my side.
