Kerrie’s P.O.V.
Thankfully the week had passed pretty quickly. Of course, this was mostly thanks to Jonathan. He had been constantly asking me how he should propose to my brother. I still couldn’t wrap my head around the idea of them getting married. I mean, yeah I would love to be able to say “Hi guys, this is my brother Kyle and his husband Jonathan.” Especially since the two of them made such a cute couple! But it felt like it was happening too fast. That might be because I haven’t seen them in forever though. Jonathan sees Kyle every day. Right now, Jonathan was texting me non-stop on whether or not he should propose during dinner, after dinner, before dinner or what.
Rolling my eyes, I sent him a text message telling him to calm down and relax. I would help him out with his issues when I got home on Saturday.
Saturday? Oh my god! Today was Friday! Today was the day I get to sleepover at Jamie’s house! A wide grin appeared on my lips at the thought. Just me and her; alone, all night. With no one to interrupt us. I looked at my clock in alarm. It was already 7:15. I had to be at the bus stop at 7:25. How had I let myself get so distracted? Oh wait, Jonathan and Jamie. I laughed to myself, grabbed my things and raced down stairs, not even bothering to do my makeup; I could do it at school.
The day was just a big blur. All I remember was walking in and out of my classes. I was way too preoccupied thinking about how great tonight was going to be.
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!!!!
I jumped in alarm. The day was over already? Thank God!! I hurried to get to the hallway so I could find Jamie and we could begin the sleepover. It was a good thing she was so easy to recognize. I saw her the moment I left class. Squeezing between all of the students in the halls, the other students looked like axe murders by the way, I jumped onto her back.
“So, what do you have planned for us tonight?” I asked her eagerly. She laughed and shook me off of her back before turning to look at me.
“Oh you know, nothing much. Just a simple, quiet night.” Jamie told me simply.
“I thought you said just a simple quiet night!” I screamed at Jamie, hoping she would hear me over the loudness of the music. I saw her roll her eyes before continuing to dance along the fast paced beat of the unknown music coming from the five ten foot speakers in the corners of the house. This was not the sleepover I had expected from her. Since when did she plan on taking us to a party??
I wasn’t really a partying kind of girl, and Jamie knew it too. Just as I was about to ask her if we could go home, the music was cut off and Logan jumped onto a table, a microphone in his hand. Sure, there were only about thirty people here, but they were still loud enough for him to need a microphone.
Everyone was quiet when as Logan began to speak.
“Who’s ready to party?!” A chorus of happy screams erupted from the room. Who was ready to party? Wasn’t this enough? I was already ready to go home.
“Alright good, I need everyone to sit down and make some room for everyone. It’s time to play truth or dare!” Another loud eruption came from the partying teenagers around him. Truth or dare? Oh god…I could just tell this night was about to go downhill from here. Someone always ended up getting their feelings hurt in this game.
Logan’s P.O.V.
When Kaedy had came up to me and told me I could go ahead and tell everyone that it was time for truth or dare, I was so excited. It was time I was finally going to be able to kiss Kerrie. The girl I had been longing to kiss for so long now. But, what if she didn’t pick dare? Or what if she refused to kiss me? I mean...I guess I never really thought this completely through did I? Well shit…I guess we will have to wait and find out.
