~Maria's P.O.V~

I walk into the kitchen and made my breakfast. My mom says goodbye as she leaves for work. After breakfast, I quickly scramble my things together and leave for school. I can still feel the not in my stomach. When I got to the bus stop, I see another girl standing there too. YES! I'm not alone. She looks up at me and smiles. She has purple glasses, blue overalls and little frekles on her nose. 

"Hello, you must be new here" She says, with her accent.

"Yeah, how do you know?" I asked.

"I live next to you and saw you and your mom unpacking" She giggled.

"Oh...right..." I said

"Oh, I'm Ava. The school nerd" Her smile turns into a frown. As she quickly wipes away her tears.

"Hi Ava, I'm Maria" I smiled at her and put out my hand. She gladly shook it. When the bust finally came, me and Ava got on the bus. When me and Ava walked down the bus aile, I see a sexy blondish hair boy with perfect blue eyes and dimples. He looks at me, giving me a wink and looks back at the four boys sitting near him. Ava took a notice and pulled me into a seat.

"What were you doing?" She asked, panicing.

"nothing" I blushed.

"I  saw you look at him like that.' She said

"yeah, so? Why, he looks sweet?"

"No, you got the wrong idea out of him. He's the school's biggest player. He plays with every girls heart. He only wants one thing and that is sex, but I don't understand why he's on the bus. He has a car." She said, looking me straight in the eye.

"Really? Wait, how do you know?" I asked.

"Because I was one of those girls that fell for him. I thought he actually liked me, untill he got me into bed with him. Than bam, he never talked to me or even looked at me. He even made my life a living hell. He told everyone how he stole my virginity." She looks away, starting to cry again. I confort her as she hugged me tight.

"Please, don't make the same mistake I did." She sobbed on my brand new white t-shirt.

"I won't. Thanks for telling me this." I said, as I hugged her back.

"Thats what friends are for." She smiled at me, as I smiled back. 

~At School~

When we finally reached school, me and Ava walked to the principles office.

"Hello, may we help you?" Asked the assistance principle.

"Uh, yeah hi I'm Maria and I'm kinda new here" I said nervously. She quickly called the princple, as she went back into her chair and continued to type. I waited a minute untill the principle came out of his office.

"Hello i'm Mr. Edmunds, I'm your school principle and you must be Maria" He shook my hand and smiled.

"Yeah" I smiled.

"Well, you must be here for your schedule huh?" He chuckled and went to other room and came back with some papers.

"Here ya go Miss Maria." he handed me my schedule, the rule book, and a flyer to the spring dance.

"Thank you Mr. Edmund" I waved at him as I walked out of his office.

"So what classes do you have?" Ava asked. I totally forgot she was with me.

"Umm... looks like I have Chemistry first." I said.

"Yes! We have that class together." She smiled big as she pulled me towards that class. When we got in, I see the sexy boy again. Snap out of it Maria, You don't need him, he'll only play with your heart. As I took my seat next to Ava, I felt like someone was staring at me. I turned towards him and he smiles at me and winks again. I turned back at my seat, waiting for the teacher.
