You walked down the stairs into the living room to see your boyfriend of two years, Aaron, sitting on the couch with a drink in his hand playing video games. "Aaron, can you please take that headset off? We have to have dinner with my parents soon." He continued talking to his friends on the video game, obviously not hearing a word you had said before. "Hello, earth to Aaron?" you repeated, this time getting a response. "One sec babe, after this round." he said, before taking the small amount of attention he had just given you and putting full attention into the video game.

You sighed, heading upstairs to finish getting ready. You knew he was stressed out about the tour and everything, but it'd be nice for him to listen to you since he hadn't been doing that recently, nor had he been spending a lot of time with you. You finished getting ready and glanced at the clock to see it was 6 o'clock on the dot. You grabbed your purse and keys, and walked straight past Aaron in the living room who didn't even notice you left. You were completely fed up as you got in your car and drove off to the restaurant where you parents were waiting.

After the dinner

You walked into the house, sighing from the tiring dinner with your parents that seemed like it would never end. All they had interest in talking about was Aaron and his tour, which you were proud to share about your boyfriends accomplishments, but you had just wished he was there with you to spend time together.

You kicked your shoes off by the front door and set your things down, walking past the living room where Aaron apparently fell asleep on the couch, and straight to your room, where you changed into pajamas and laid on the bed, trying to fall asleep which was pretty difficult considering you were pissed off. You felt the bed dip beside you as Aaron sat in the bed, and you pretended to be asleep to avoid talking to him. "Babe, I know your awake." he whispered in your ear, causing you to roll your eyes and face him . "What do you want?" you asked him with an annoyed tone laced in your voice. "I'm sorry, baby, I've just been really tired lately and wanted to stay home tonight, I didn't mean to make you upset." "Aaron this has been every night for the past two weeks, I understand you're tired but it was dinner with my parents tonight and I've been telling you about it for the past week. I had to sit there in the restaurant with the two of them, basically wallowing in the pity that was thrown towards me by them because my boyfriend had decided not to show up." you said, your voice starting to raise towards the end of your statement. "Isabel, I'm sorry but seriously this whole thing has been really stressful for me you have to understand that! I don't have time for your pity party!" With that, you gasped as he insulted the way you were acting and immediately grabbed your pillow and a blanket and made your way out of the room to sleep on the couch. Before leaving the doorway you turned to him and said, "Have fun sleeping on your own tonight, Mr. My Life Is So Hard Because I'm Famous And Successful." You slammed the door and fell asleep on the couch in the living room, tears falling down your face as you slowly drifted off into a slumber.

You woke up remembering the event that occurred that night, and immediately a frown appeared on your face. You sat up and stretched, then rubbed your eyes only to open them to many, many bouquets of flowers surrounding the couch you laid on. All of a sudden, Aaron appeared in the doorway with a sorry look on his face, as he made his way around the flowers and towards the couch you were sitting on. "Aaron, this is... just wow."

He sat beside you and you looked into his brown eyes that were full of guilt and regret, that made you want to forgive him on the spot. He embraced you in his arms, kissing your forehead and you leaned on his body. "I'm sorry Isabel, you know I love you and I only mean the best for you, and I'm sorry I've been so self centered the past few weeks. I've just been really stressed with the tours and I was too blind to see that my absence had taken a toll on you as well." You smiled against his chest, replying, "It's alright, Aaron, I'm sorry I got so worked up last night."
The two of you sat in silence for a few seconds before he said, "I love you, Isabel." "I love you too, Aaron. Now clean up all of these flowers."
