You walked through the halls, confidently and swiftly, as you thought to yourself that today would be the day that you finally didn't care that you didn't have a homecoming date for this weekend. of course, you had a special person in your friend group that you wish would ask you, but he's thinking of not even going.

You sat down in your regular seat to start the day in homeroom, which you luckily had with most of your friends. you talked to your friends Mary, Kaitlyn, Aaron, and Shawn about homecoming. "So I've decided," Aaron began, "that maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I went to homecoming." you all cheered, you couldn't be the fab five without Aaron there. in case you didn't know, that one friend you kind of wanted to ask you? yeah that's Aaron, so this just made your day so much better because maybe he would actually ask you!

"I'm also thinking of bringing a date." Aaron stated, waiting for everyone's reaction. "That's great!" everyone cheered, Aaron hadn't found someone yet, and he's been wanting to ask someone but has been too nervous. "She's beautiful, can make anyone laugh and smile, perfect height, just amazing." your heart sunk at this information, but you kept a smile because he was happy. He looked down blushing, while your friends just stood there with smirks on their faces. you all sat down as the teacher came in and began the lesson.

later that day

You all sat down for lunch, unaware of where Aaron had gone. The four of you sat, bewildered because he said he would meet us there, when he came with a smile on his face. "Why are you so happy?" Shawn asked. "Because I finally thought of how I'm gonna ask her!" you all smiled at this, but you just started thinking that maybe tomorrow would be the day to be confident, and today just cry in your pajamas. You excused yourself to use the restroom, and ran down the hall with tears in your eyes. you locked yourself in a stall and cried silently, until you heard two pairs of heels clicking on the floor and recognized the voices of the two most popular girls in school, Adriana and Bri.

"I've gotten like, six promposals today already. plus, there's a rumor that Aaron is gonna ask me too! I'm only gonna say yes to Aaron though, he's hot." you heard Adriana say. "Why wouldn't you?!" You heard the two walk out and you came out of the stall and washed your face so that no one would know you were crying.

You stood there in the mirror for a couple of minutes before exiting and walking down the hall, to find the entire cafeteria standing around and looking at you, and Aaron in the center with a bouquet of roses.

"(Y/n), will you come to homecoming with me?" the cafeteria was silent until you smiled and nodded and it burst into cheers. Aaron smiled as you ran towards him and he wrapped his arms around you tightly. You looked into each other's eyes and kissed, fireworks and butterflies exploding everywhere. you were on cloud 9, and both Aaron and you knew it was the start of something new.
