Ash was surprised to see Lexi already on the beach, when he went for his early morning surf.
"Hi" Ash Smiled, he couldn't take his eyes off the beautiful brunette. She was wearing a pair of short shorts and a pink bikin top, her hair was scraped back into a messy bun.
"Hey" Lexi smiled politely as she looked up at Ash.
"It's incredible isn't it?" Ash replied as he pushed his surf board into the sand and sat down next to her.
"Yeah" Lexi nodded "This is the one thing I missed about living in the city"
"Yeah I must admit I missed this too while I was inside" Ash sighed.
"You mean Jail" Lexi frowned.
"Yeah" Ash was surprised that Lexi didn't seem phased or worried about the fact he had been in prison "You don't seem as freaked out as you sister"
"Nah, I've had to live in the real world" Lexi chuckled, this caused a confused look from Ash "All I mean is I have had to fend for myself since I was 16, I haven't had the luxury of being protected by my Dad"
"Must have been tough" Ash understood what she was trying to say.
"Not at first because I had Jamie" Lexi explained "Jamie took care of us, but after he'd died things weren't exactly what you would call easy"
"I can imagine" Ash said with a say pathetic tone "Did your Dad not help you at all?"
"No, he is teaching me a lesson" Lexi sighed "I ignored him, he hasn't even asked to see Jake?"
"Does he not want to know his Grandson?" Ash was a little shocked, although he had been told about Phoebe's Dad.
"Nah, as far as my dad is concerned Jake doesn't exist" Lexi smiled weakly.
"That sucks, what a complete dog" Ash snarled "How can he treat his own flesh and blood like that?"
"Honestly I don't care, at least this way he has no control over any part of my life" Lexi smiled a she looked up and saw Phoebe walking along the beach with Jake.
"Hey Buddy" Lexi smiled "Is everything ok?" she added as she turned to Phoebe.
"Yeah" Phoebe smiled "He just wanted me to show him the beach, said he missed it when you drove into town"
"We were just going to get some breakfast" Jake grinned.
Suddenly Lexi's phone started ringing in her pocket, she took it in her hand and looked at the screen, before putting it back in her pocket "Who was that" Phoebe wondered, Ash was also watching Lexi.
"Who do you think?" Lexi frowned "Come on mate lets go and get this breakfast"
Ash and Phoebe watched Lexi walk with Jake towards The Diner "I'm sure if she had a problem she would tell you" Ash smiled trying to reassure Phoebe.
"That's just it" Phoebe sighed "That's the last thing she would ever do"

"Hello love what can i get you?" Irene smiled from behind the counter, she knew instantly Lexi was a stranger.
"Erm scrambled eggs on toast, an orange juice and a coffee please?" Lexi smiled politely as she took some money out of her back pocket.
"So are you new to town, or just passing through?" Irene wondered curiously.
"What's it to you?" Lexi snapped a little more than she meant to "Sorry, I'm just..."
"It's fine darl" Irene smiled, it was at that moment she noticed the bruises on Lexi's face "It's none of my business"
Out of nowhere a furious Kyle came barging in the Diner and made a beeline for a blonde haired guy who was sat at a table by himself "What part of stay away don't you get?" he snarled as he dragged the guy to his feet.
"Wait here" Lexi said softly to Jake, before intervening "Kyle Stop" she said as she tried to pull Kyle away from the guy. Suddenly Ash came and also tried pulling Kyle away.
"Kyle stop, this isn't the place" Ash said trying to calm Kyle down "Too many eyes"
Kyle reluctantly backed down and walked away, Lexi followed him and Ash outside "What the hell was that all about?" Lexi frowned at Kyle.
"That's the scumbag who has been stalking Phoebe" Kyle spat, just as Kyle explained the guy came out of the Diner.
"That's him?" Lexi snapped furiously before storming over to him, Kyle and Ash followed her.
"Hey" Lexi yelled and just as the guy turned around Lexi punched him knocking him to the floor, Brax and Ricky were heading to Angelo's just in time to see Lexi lash out.
"What's going on aye?" Brax asked Kyle who as smirking a little.
"Keep watching" Kyle smiled as he watched Lexi grab the guys face and squeeze it, pulling him up to stand.
"I'm sorry" the guy stuttered.
"Shut up" Lexi snarled "And stay away from my sister, because if you don't then I will kill you...got it?"
The guy nodded before disappearing, leaving Lexi stood smiling to herself "And you were worried she wouldn't fit in" Ricky Giggled as she looped her arm around Brax's waist.
"Yeah" Brax laughed, he wasn't sure what to make of Phoebe's sister.
"That was hot" Ash exhaled after witnessing the the whole incident, Kyle just threw him a glare...one that said 'don't even go there'
Lexi smiled at Kyle before heading back inside the Diner, Kyle just smiled and shook his head. Even after all this time Lexi was still the same fiery woman he remembered. He was so grateful that she had come back into Phoebe's life at this point. Her timing couldn't have been better...

Lexi had just got back to the Braxton house with Jake, she was surprised to see Brax waiting for her "Should I be worried?" Lexi joked before gesturing Jake to go into one of the bedrooms.
"Nah" Brax grinned, he smiled when Lexi relaxed a little "But I'm not an idiot, I don't know what has happened in your past and to be honest I'm not interested. But after what I saw today, I just want to make sure whatever happened to get those" Brax pointed at Lexi's face "I just want to make sure it isn't going to come back and haunt me if you stay here in the house?"
"No it won't I swear" Lexi replied quickly "And as kind as your offer is i can't except it"
Brax looked a little confused "It's not that i don't appreciate it, it's just I haven't relied on anyone since i was 16" Lexi explained "Besides I have never been able to live with Phoebe, she is too demanding" Lexi laughed causing Brax to smile.
"Fair point" Brax agreed "Princess springs to mind"
"Hey be careful, she is still my sister" Lexi found it easy to have banter with Brax, he laughed with her "Anyway as I was saying, thank you for your offer but i already have somewhere to stay"
"Where?" Brax frowned.
"The Caravan park, the lady at the diner offered me one of her vans" Lexi explained, Brax couldn't help but be impressed and intrigued by Lexi's independence.

Roo was very welcoming to Lexi and Jake when they arrived at the caravan park "That's the shower block and there is the footpath to the beach, and this is your van" Roo unlocked to caravan door and opened it so Lexi and Jake could go inside.
"Thank you Roo" Lexi smiled.
"Its alright sweetie" Roo said kindly "If you need anything you know where I am"
Lexi nodded as she followed Roo out of the van.
"Well, well, well, you just can't stay away from me can you?" a voice interrupted Lexi's thoughts as she turned round and saw the familiar face standing behind her..
