And Everything Was White

All Pyrrha could feel was excruciating, blinding pain. It started at the base of her throat and then escalated through her entire body. Every part of her being knew that this was the end. Her limbs were void of all sensation, all she could feel was a burning pain that seemed to envelop her very soul, and yet, what hurt her the most, was knowing that she would never again get to see the face of the man who she loved most. The man whom she had sent away in an attempt to protect, the man whose kiss gave her the strength to fight one last time.

As Pyrrha kneeled, her knees pressed upon the ground she thought back to all the important memories that had occurred, some good, and some bad. She tried to focus only on the memories she had of him, the way he moved, the way he smiled, the way he made her fall so helplessly in love with him, and the way he made her feel weak beyond comparison to anything else she had ever experienced.

The most prominent memory she had, was meeting the blond haired boy. To everyone, this boy seemed like a waste of time, a good for nothing with no talent; but he stood out to her, quite like a sore thumb, or like a light in the dark. All Pyrrha knew, was that this lanky boy, was important. She remembered catching him in the first task, causing her to be his teammate. She thought through all the possible scenarios, all of which lead to her not being with him, and each scenario increased the pain that was ripping through her body. Every memory seemed bittersweet, even their first kiss, which also happened to be their last.

She closed her eyes and desperately dreamed as a white light enveloped her...
