Luxury is Life
As I walked around admiring the paintings on the wall I smiled slightly.
"Haha finally, new modern pictures." I chuckled.
"Emily! Dinner!" My mom called from the kitchen.
I opened the door and sprinted down the stairs. Mmmm I smelled shrimp and pasta. We sat down said Grace then started to dig in, I could tell right away my mom made this, not the cook. I wonder where the cook is.
"Mom where's the cook?" I asked looking over to the kitchen, not seeing anyone.
"BUT MOMMY!" I heard my little sister Danielle scream.
Great. My mom couldn't have heard me, I'll just forget about it.My father stormed into the dinning room as we were all cleaning up. He took one look at Danielle and I and quickly went over to my mom and had her follow him.
"Emily? Where is Mommy going?" Danielle asked her blue eyes shining.
"Just to talk to dad for a bit. Why don't we clean up and we can go play with your dolls." I said smiling at her.
Danielle was special to me, she was one of the only people who could really make me laugh.I heard my fathers voice raise as I chased Danielle up the stairs. I froze, and heard him say something in a angry tone.
"C'mon Emily! Let's go!" Danielle whined tugging on my arm a little.
I laughed and followed her into her toy room.
"Emily!! Let's play with the cars today!" She exclaimed pointed to the amusement park you could set up and have cars go on.
"Sure!" I replied smiling at her then running over to help set it up.I turned of the toy and started to pack it up. It had been about 2 hours and 30 minutes and I was getting tired.
"C'mon Em! A few more minutes?" Danielle asked sweetly.
"Haha sorry no, tomorrow we can play some more. ok?" I said going back to cleaning up the toy room.
Danielle and I finished cleaning and she went to her room and I went to the kitchen for a snack. Big mistake. My father was there, his face red and all. I wondered what was wrong when he tried to come over to me, but stumbled and fell. Either he was drunk or had a concussion. I hopped he was more or less drunk.
