The Woman...

Chapter 4: The Second Date

     She called me and asked if we could meet again and she said that she would explain more to me about being a vampire, so I said sure. We met at the same bar where it all started the first thing I said to her was "what the hell is your name?!? First you take me on a date, then you take me to your place and feed on me, then out of nowhere you heal me and kill me to turn me into a damn vampire, and just when I thought it couldn't get any weirder you gave me a ring that keeps me from burning in the sun and you never even told me your name." Then I realized I never told her mine...so I said "and sorry I almost forgot to tell you I'm Chad."
     She looked at me with wild yet confused eyes, she said "I'm Brittany...Now do you want to talk about nonsense or do you want to talk about vampirism Chad?" I looked at her and noticed how straight she sits, how her hair flows perfectly over her neck, and how if she was a human I would probably drain her of her blood. I think she noticed me staring because she looked right into my eyes and said "it's rude to stare unless you're staring into a person's eyes while talking to them."
     To take away some awkwardness I said "so vampirism? What is that, like the study of vampires? Or how a vampire behaves in different habitats?" I laughed and she looked mad and very psychotic yet she also looked extremely appealing and sexy. It was intriguing yet weird at the same time. She always seemed that way, sexy and cute, yet at the same time she seemed psychotic and dangerous. I guess that's what happens when you're a vampire.
I think she noticed that I was trailing off into my thoughts because she said "vampirism is the knowledge about vampires, and the study as to how one becomes a vampire and everything about vampires. It's pretty much what you would find an encyclopedia only about vampires and anything that has to do with vampires...if one existed. You become a vampire if you die with vampire blood in your system, then you must drink human blood. You can survive off of animal blood, it's not as good as human blood but you won't have to kill people for it. You could also use blood bags from the hospital if you stole something, it's not as good as fresh blood but it's better than animal blood. Some people are crazy (too crazy) for human blood and so they drink animal blood and it's better because no thefts, and no deaths so no suspicions and you can live amongst the humans."
I was amazed, speechless, nothing could express what I was feeling. The more I thought about it, the better animal blood sounded. You can live around the humans without anyone suspecting you, and you don't have to hurt or steal humans for it? I'm glad I'm not the biggest deer lover. People hunt deer so that's what I can see this as, hunting rather than murder. I figured since I'm not so attached to human blood since I've only fed once and I've been a vampire for a day(or a few), maybe animal blood won't be all that bad compared to if I was a vampire living off of human blood for a few years then trying to drink animal blood instead of human blood.
