This weekend I went to an Civil Air Patrol Honor Guard Academy in New Hampshire. It was fun. This is what I did.

Day 1
We met up at our squadron. There were (Rank order) Captain Daley, 1st Lieutenant Kronmaier, Senior Airman Colva, Airman 1st Class Lu (me), and Airman Goetz. We went Captain Daley's car. We drove for 6 hours. We are at a pizza place and it was good for lunch. They played different songs and showed me 2 Family Guy songs. It was "Have you ever put butter on a Pop-Tart" and "Train on the Water, Boat on the Track." When we got there we unpacked, changed into BDU's, introduced each other, and since we didn't eat dinner we made sandwiches. They screamed "FLOOD THE BARRACKS" which means to stand at attention in the hall while they played Taps on a bugle which means "Lights Out" or time to sleep at 2100.
Day 2
I woke up like 6 times during the night. At 0600 they screamed "FLOOD THE BARRACKS" and played Reveille which means to wake up. We had to get into PT gear which is Physical Training. We ran a few laps, arm circles, a weird version of burpies, and log cabin push-ups. When we finished we got into BDU's and ate breakfast. We only had cereal, Pop-Tarts, apples, and bananas. I had 2 Cinnamon Pop-Tarts and they were amazing. We next went to the training room and did some weird teamwork exercise. Our squadron Raritan Valley Composite Squadron chose to do Color Guard over Honor Guard. This was our team practicing in the beginning. The 5 in the middle are in our squadron.

We later ate lunch which were sandwiches

We later ate lunch which were sandwiches. We went back to training and then went to dinner. We had to learn dining ettiquite. We had to wear a white shirt during dinner to see if we can eat spaghetti properly and nicely. By the time we ate the food was cold. Then we had an hour to prepare our Blues uniform. I was taught by my roommate and 2 other kids in our squadron how to shine boots. Then I went the another kid in our squadron since his boots are AMAZING and only 4 people know how to do it. Then we "FLOODED THE BARRACKS" and slept.

Day 3
We "FLOODED THE BARRACKS" and dressed into BDU's. We found out we weren't gonna do PT but we were gonna do Flag Trivia. We ate breakfast and got into the trivia. I was on 'MERCA and the other team was Churros. We lost 22-21. We ate pizza and then changed into Blues for Graduation. We took a lot of pictures. This is our Color Guard team now.

We got to later Post the Colors like how we practiced
