[Chris got a girlfriend just as I started this fanfic and she seems really sweet(that is her with Chris)so I am going to add her to the fanfic but not as a drama character or anything like that. Her full name confuses me so she is to be known as Gia for now😁
Edit•2018-yah yah they broke up i know stop pming on this🤷‍♀️]

I quickly look away from Chris, it's my turn to grip onto the rail. I feel so sick like I'm about to throw up, my mother would kill me if she found out I had been dating someone that had not a single belief in her religion. Maybe I should call lunch off with my brother tomorrow, he'd snitch if anything slipped. "Oh." It's all I can think to say to him, otherwise I think I might have said something that offended him. "Majora? Are you alright?" His hand presses on my lower back, making me straighten up as wind begins to pick up out of no where.

"Yes, I swear, I'm cool." I brush my hair out of my face and as if she heard all the way from the playground my phone rings, showing a picture of myself and her hugging tightly during high school graduation a long time ago. "Sorry." I mumble before answering the phone to my mother squealing, I jump and Chris manages to catch my phone from dropping to the concrete below. "Thank you." I mouth before pressing my phone to my ear. "Mom, can you maybe not do that? My phone looked death in the eye just now." She laughs one of her breathless laughs as she collects herself. "I'm so sorry, sweetheart. But, you never told me you got a boyfriend!"
My heart sank, Hunter must have told her about the plans to have lunch together. "It's not official yet or at all I should say," I look at Chris who is watching me talk with my mother "whatever Hunter told you is probably only half true."

"Tell me all about him! Is he handsome? What does he do? Is he an actor too?!" My mother ignores me and starts flying into questions about Chris. "Is that your mother?" Chris whispers and I nod in response. He gestures me to move closer to him. "Is there anyway she and the rest of your family can make it to lunch with your brother?" I nearly drop my phone, he wants to meet my mother, father, and sister too. After what he told me I'm not sure if that's a good idea, but it has to happen sooner or later. "Why ask me when you can ask him tomorrow? I am guess Hunter told you about lunch, you can even bring Dad and sis." If she could jump through the phone and hug me I am positive she would have.

"We will be there!" With that my mother hangs up without even a goodbye. "Are you crazy?! My mother lives and breathes Jesus Christ! You do realize she is going to say some possible insulting things and ask you what your religion is, right?" I feel a anxiety attack making it's way to show itself in a mix of crying and anger. "Yeah, but I want to meet your family. Even if it means having to be criticized for what I believe. If she asks me about my belief then I will be truthful with her, you and I both know that she'll find out eventually and that being honest will be a good start with her."

I can't say he's wrong, besides my mom does think honesty is literally the best policy. "Okay, promise me if anything makes you upset you'll tell me."

"I promise."

Chris and I wake up late since it's Sunday after all. I tell him to dress nice since my whole family would just be coming from church and my mother loves men who dress well. I find a grey dress that hugs my curves but doesn't make me look like a whöre to my parents if you girls out there know what I mean. I buckle my ankle heels and pull my hair into a ponytail before walking into the living room.

"Chris, hurry up! We have a deadline to meet!"

"Chill! I'm almost ready!" I wrap a scarf around my neck and stroke Gene's fur till Chris appears from his room, clothed in a sharp black suit. "You look great, princess, now let's go." I tell him and jog out to my car. I text my mother to let her know we were headed to Olive Garden when I pull out of the driveway. "There will be some very embarrassing questions by the way." I mutter, keeping both hands on the wheel tightly as the same sickening feeling began to rise up again from last night. "Majora," Chris sets a hand on my thigh that makes my cheeks warm and my whole body feel weak "it's going to be fine. No matter what happens I will live and breathe, you should do the same."
