accidental invasion

Cara's house was dead like always around eleven at night. The lights were off in every room expect hers. And I couldn't help but to see completely through my window and into hers because my desk was facing her way. I'm always more than likely doing my homework so late every night because of so many AP classes I have.

Her curtain wasn't opened wide but it was enough for me to see her smooth back once  she took off her shirt and changed into another one.

She turned around and our eyes met for a split second and I immediately looked down. Heart was beating so quick I thought it was going to explode.

Oh crap, she saw me.

Maybe she didn't. I'm just overreacting. When I looked up she was nowhere to be seen so I sighed in relief. But then the doorbell rang. I knew my parents were up so I knew that they would answer it.

Before I knew it they were calling my name for me to come. "Kendall! Would you get down here, please?" My mother yelled.

I rushed down the stairs but stopped half way when my eyes were met with Cara's again.

"Cara here says you were looking into her window. You saw her change?" My mom said, one eyebrow raising.

"I—I wasn't—"

"It's okay, Mr. and Mrs. J." She smiled. "I'm sure it was just an accident."

"You two go to school together, right?" Dad asks her.

"Indeed we do. Never spoke before though." Cara looked at me. "Give me a ride to school tomorrow?"

Before I could even accept or protest my mother speaks for me. "Yes she will. It's the least she could do when she invaded your privacy, accident or not."

"Catch ya later." She smirked and turned on her heels, heading back to her house.

I guess I was driving the girl next door to school. The one who I was always afraid to talk to, the one who I've admired for so long, the one I wanted to be with.
