The baby seemed to calm down once it was in the safety of Finland's arms. Tino affectionately rocked the baby and stood by the enterance of the dining room.
"W'ere d'd ya get t'e b'by?" Berwald asked standing from the table and walking over to observe what his wife had brought inside.
"Well, I was walking back in here when I heard cries coming from the door. So i went to investigate and found a basket with a baby in it! I was so worried! The baby could have died in the cold!" Tino explained in a hushed voice. The baby blinked its eyes and reached its tiny arms out towards the Swede. Berwald took the baby from Tino's arms and sat back down in his chair. The baby then gave a small 'coo' and gripped Berwald's shirt tightly in its small hands.
"W'at sh'ld we do?" He looked up at Tino and furrowed his brows.
"Can we keep he, or she, and raise them? Oh, please Berwald!" Tino asked, his eyes shinning.
"If t'ats w'hat ya w'nt." He said.
"Hey, mama, are we gonna eat? I'm hungry." Peter groaned from his spot at the table.
"Yes, of course!" Tino giggled as he sat beside Sweden at the table. "Do you want me to take the baby?"
"No." Berwald said, looking down at the content child in his arms. He would never admit it, but he did love babies.
