My temporary team and I made it to the aircrafts with the other students. I found a rag and tried to get as much of the sticky pink sap off of me as I could, but had stained my white coat. I growled in frustration and annoyance as I wiped the last of the sap off of my collarbone and then tossed the rag away.
"I could have licked that up too," said a voice from behind me. I didn't have to look to know that it was Loki.
"If you'd have tried it Meschever, you'd be dead," I spat turning to face him. The arrogant jerk was leaning against the wall with his arms and legs crossed and a smirk on his face as his green cat eyes watched me closely. He chuckled at my reaction and replied calmly.
"You're so cute when you act all vicious." If looks could kill, that boy would be dead and I wouldn't be standing here thinking about all of the different ways that I could kill him myself. All that I wanted to do at the moment was slap that stupid grin off his face.
Jake shook his head from where he and Axelle stood. I wasn't the only one who was getting sick of Loki's attitude. Jake sighed in frustration, "Just leave her alone."
"Oh?" Loki's eyes flickered to the other boy. "And why do you care? Is it possible that you have a crush on the little icecream girl too? Huh tough guy?"
Jake was clearly growing more frustrated, but he was doing a good job of controlling it. Instead he replied in a calm voice, "No, it's just annoying to listen to you try to flirt. It's clear that she's not interested. You should probably just give up." I smiled a bit, thankful that Jake had spoken up. I was starting to grow too frustrated to use words with the orange haired boy, but I had gained a new respect for Jake.
Loki didn't seem put off by Jake's words at all. Instead an amused light flashed in his eyes. "I don't give up that easily," he said with a grin. Before he could say anything more, Professor Goodwitch called him away to help load jars of sap onto another bullhead.
"I'm going to kill him," I scowled, mostly kidding.
Jake chuckled and said, "Can I help?"
"I'll help you hide the body," Axelle offered with a tentative grin. I smiled at her, thankful that she was starting to speak up. Soon after Loki returned, but thankfully the bullhead that we were on started up and it became too loud to hear him speak.
It was around noon when we landed, and I saw Wolf waiting for me on the platform. The second the aircraft was on the ground I leaped out and ran to him.
"Hey Neo, how'd it go?" He asked with a chuckle as he caught me in a hug. I simply groaned into his shoulder. "That good huh?" he chuckled. "What happened? You smell like tree sap."
"I'm gonna kill him," I grumbled.
"Him? Who's him?" Wolf's red wolf ear twitched curiously. "One of your temporary teammates?" I glanced over at the aircraft and saw Loki, Jake, and Axelle making their way over to us.
"I need a favor," I told Wolf quickly, glaring at Loki as I remembered some of the things that I had said to the orange haired boy.
"Sure, what do you need?" Wolf asked with a shrug.
"Pretend to be my boyfriend." Now I turned pink, realizing what I had just asked of him. My request had caught him off guard.
"Wait, what?" he asked, his eyes widening a bit in surprise.
"You... you don't have to..." I said quickly, knowing how weird that was to ask of him.
"Sure," he grinned, back to his normal self. An amused smirk rested on his face as he said, "Am I allowed to ask why?"
