Do you know what it's like
To feel empty inside
To have a hole inside your chest
And have no way to fix it
Do you know what it's like
To feel the urge to cry all the time
To scream and shout
For the pain is too much
Do you know what it's like
To feel worthless inside
To feel like no cares about you
No matter what they say
Do you know what it's like
To constantly feel alone
To have no one to turn to
In your time of need
Do you know what it's like
To just curl up and stare at the wall
To feel no need to do anything
And stay there all day long
Do you know what it's like
To stay up all night
To constantly feel the pain
And never have a break
Do you know what it's like
To have to resort to cutting
To find a little relief
That doesn't even last
Do you know what it's like
To think about killing yourself every day
To write letter after letter
For people to read once you do it
Do you know what it's like
To no longer be living
To be reduced to just surviving
