AUTOR'S NOTE : Hey, I haven't written in a long time, sorry about that. Anyways, I have decided that the narrator from now on would be David. I think if he gets to evoke his feelings throughout your reading experience, it might help you understand him a bit more. Have fun and feel free to point out any spelling/grammar/whatever mistake I may have made. But please, keep it proper. Thank you and enjoy!! <3

Valentine's day was yesterday. It has been two weeks since Reena's presented her boyfriend to me. I have realised that she's out of my league and off my grounds. Maybe we're not meant to be. Maybe I should try to not get attached. But the situation keeps playing back in my mind. It's hard. I shouldn't say this, I mean she's not my girlfriend, she wasn't even my date. I just understood it all wrong. But I feel worthless and helpless. I'm laying on my bed in a Monday evening. Apparently, there was no class. Jack knows what's up, he doesn't talk to me much about it. But I can tell he's curious. I wonder what Reena's doing right now.. Maybe she's watching some random tv show ... With Kevin .. Or maybe she's out ... With Kevin... God Kevin Kevin KEVIN. Why am I so angry ? He's not good enough for her, that's why.

As I get out of my bed, I hear a knock on the door. When I open it, I see Reena. Great. She greets me and asks, "Where's Jackson ?" Weird, why would she ask about him ... "He's out to get some groceries. Need something ?" I suggest. She responds "Well, we have to study for something today, maybe you want to join us ?" She looks at the door, and I remember good manners and say, "Sure, help yourself in." She thanks me, enters and sits on the sofa. God she's so pretty. Wait, no, she's in a relationship, I shouldn't think like that. I grab her a beverage, and sit across from her and ask, "Why is Kevin not here ?", she looks at me for a while and says, "Well, we've broken up more times than I have changed my underwear last week." as she laughs nervously, I'm all ears, I like where this is headed. Not the part about her underwear. Actually, yes, but not as much as the part where she says they've been breaking up a lot. She continues, "But now, we're okay I think. He just isn't studious." And there, my hope fades away again. Thank God Jack's back. He comes in and apologizes for being late. Then we sart studying.

The way she thinks, the way she keeps her hair in a bun only using a pencil. She is very pretty. irresistibly pretty, to be honest. Time has passed too fast and we have finished studying. Studying with her was actually very fun, but it's time for her to leave. I ask her, "Who'll drive you home ?" She replies, "Kevin is coming to pick me up right now." Ugh, Kevin. Honestly, just the thought of him extremely irritates the hell out of me. But what can you do ? He's a lucky guy, she's a very misfortunate girl.

It's the next morning, I got ready and just like usual, Jack is late again. "JACKSON!" I yell at the top of my lungs. He comes running, I don't know when he will stop doing this. He says, "Sorry for being late." I tease, "Again, you mean." We hit the road to uni. When I sit down, I look around and I don't see Reena. I think to myself, "Where the hell could she be ? We have a test today."

At the end of class, I call her to make sure she's okay. She doesn't answer. So Jackson and I drive to her house. She lives alone so we were quite scared something bad has happened. When we enter her house, after she's opened the door for us, we find her laying in her bed, I say, "Hey, is something wrong?" She says, "I have been throwing up all day. I'm really fucking sick." First time I hear her curse. And even though she's sick, she still looks pretty. Seriously, she looks like a goddess, how is this possible ? "I hope you get better, want me to bring you some water?" I politely suggest, "Yes, please. And my medicine too while you're at it." She replies. We sit down with her, and suddenly, Jackson ask her, "Where is Kevin? Is he not coming ?" She looks at him for a while and says, "Well ... He's at football practice. He sais he's not coming." Silence reigns on the room. How can he do that to her ? She definately deserves better than that asshole.

Time ran way too fast. It's already dark right now. Jackson and I are ready to leave. He goes downstairs and waits for me by the car as she has asked me to bring her a snack from the kitchen. I bring her the snack, and say, "Well, good night. I'm gonna leave now, if you need anything just call me, or Jackson." Before I leave, she grabs my arm and says, "Please... don't leave."
