It had been two months since the day Potter had met my mom. He came over almost every day after school and he and mom had gotten close. She didn't drink nearly as much, she came out of her room more often... She'd even gotten a job, but more importantly, she had said more words to me in the past two months than she had in a year.
Potter stayed over a lot of nights, but we hadn't had sex since that day in the boiler room. I trusted him, but sex was just too far to push myself. Potter understood, and I was beginning to think I loved him.
He often got me flowers or CDs- he loved to give me gifts. I saved my extra money to spend on gifts for him in return. It was on a rainy Saturday morning about two weeks before graduation that I finally had the cash (and the courage) to give him the gift I knew he wanted.
I went online armed with my debit card, and a few clicks later, the deed was done. My package was set to arrive the day before graduation.

Classes were over for the seniors two days before graduation. As Potter walked me to my car after that last day, we were surrounded by whooping and confetti and silly string. He kissed me hard in the middle of the parking lot and the crowd moved around us. It felt just like a movie and I knew that I was making the right choice in his graduation gift.
"I have a surprise for you," I whispered in his ear when he pressed me up against the side of my car.
"Is that so?" He kissed the corner of my mouth and ran his fingers through my hair.
"True story."
"Okay. Can I have it now?" He leaned in to kiss me and I turned my head away.
"No. Come over tomorrow night?" I looked up at him innocently and but my lip. "Please?"
"Of course, baby." He reached an arm around me and just before he could reach my ass, I pulled open my car door and slipped inside.
"Great. See you then." I smiled coyly and whipped out of the parking lot.
I had so much to do.
