As i open the door a swift breeze blows through the empty hallway. 'Very alone', the voices again, taunting me. I walk through the empty hospital once full life but now lifeless and empty. The voices in my head keep telling me ,'get outside' but i ignore them. Through the loby, surgery theatres, emergency ward, general ward, personal offices even the morgue and yet so signs of life almost like they were never here.
I take a detore to the shower room to wash myself. As the cold water touches my body i get a moment of peace and a chance to ground my taughts. Suddenly the lights go out and the shower stops. Everywhere seems even more silent than it was, so silent i can hear the sound of my beating heart. The sounds of foot steps catches my attention, someone running through the corridors and some furniture beign knocked down.
My heart begins to race, my hands shiver in fear. I need to get out of here, but first my clothes; they must be in the room i woke up from. I run naked and wet through the hallways hoping not to be going in the direction of the noises. Am on the floor, i sliped, second time today i guess i forgot how easy it is for wet feets to slip on smooth tiles. All i can feel is the ache in my head, a little bit faster and i would have gotten a concussion.
And then i see it, from the side of my eyes; a human figure with glowing yellow eyes runs across the corridor about 50ft from me. I can feel my body freeze in fear as it passes. 'Get out now' the voices say, for once i listen. I get to the room, the bed has been flipped over, the carbinet open. Someone or something was here looking for me. It all comes to me, this is where the noises where from. I quickly pick up my clothes and start running, running faster than i ever have towards the exit. 'Faster faster ', is all hear and the exit door is all i see.
As i burst through the doors a bright light shines upon my eyes, it's the sun. It's a bright morning and am outside.
