Chapter 1: A Train Station and A New Life

Makoto's POV:

I was listening to twenty one pilots and must've fallen asleep, because when I awoke there was a big angry man in front of me. "What are you still doing on this train son?!" I looked up at him so our eyes would meet. Suddenly he stepped back and seemed to be uncomfortable. I rubbed my eyes, I thought maybe I imagined it. No, he looked embarrassed. Almost as if I did something flirtatious. "W-Where is your stop?" He stuttered. I opened my mouth to answer but, then he turned away as if he knew. I then felt the train start to move. An hour or two later we arrived at my stop. I looked around for the man to thank him but, he was no where to be found.

At the train station I was picked up by the people I would be living with. They were a nice couple with a son the same age as me. His name was Haru Fortau. He had blond shaggy hair and bright green eyes. In fact the whole family had those same bright green eyes.When we arrived at the home I would be staying in, (until I graduate) I felt something weird in my stomach. I quickly unpacked and didn't waste anytime getting ready for bed. Mrs. Lauren (which was Haru's mom's name) insisted that I should eat something. I tried to decline but, that backfired. After I ate I helped her wash the dishes. Then went up stairs to chat with Haru. As soon as I walked in the scent of potato chips and sweat hit me in the face. I wanted to gag as I looked over to Haru who didn't seem bothered by it at all. When he finally noticed me, he laughed and said, " What's wrong? Does my room smell or something?" I nodded while covering my nose and mouth. "Wait! Really?! Oh, Sorry bro." He said as he grabbed a can of Febreaze. I stumbled out the door while coughing and gagging for air. I slept on the couch that night.
