"Rayven~! Wake up! Time to for your physical therapy treatment." A voice called out, rather warm and soothing one.
"H-huh?" The young girl, known as 15 year old Rayven said as she sat up slowly from her slumber. She's been in the local hospital for so long, she was use to the uncomfortable hospital bed. It was almost a second home for her. "Father said I didn't have to do it till 5:00." She mumbled softly.
"Well," Her nurse, known as Elliot, began before pause softly when he heard the phone that was located on the table next to Rayven's bed, ring. "One moment, Rayven." He said with a smile before walking over, answering the phone.
"Hello? Wait-- what? Oh.. that terrible news.. G-goodbye Mr.Schmidt." He then hung up the phone and frowned softly.
"Rayven.. I have some news.. and it's best that you're in bed instead of standing," He sighed softly before continuing. "Your mother.. is dead.." He said softly. Rayven's face looked blank.. purely emotionless. Her mother taught her to keep her emotion hidden until she was alone, because she didn't want her to show her pain. But right then.. Rayven decided to let her wall down.. and cried.
~*Time skip to a week and 1/2 later*~
"Rayven? Sweetie. Your mother is still here.. in our hearts." Her father said to her as they looks at her mother's coffin. Rayven sat in her wheelchair and held back tears. Her father smiled weakly, trying to stay strong for his daughter, and pushed her back to their small car.
"Tell ya what! Let's go and watch your favorite anime and play video games? How's that?" Her father offered. Rayven shook her head softly.
"Come on Princess.. we both know you can never say no to Sailor Moon. And after that, we'll try and finish up that last session of physical therapy. Maybe you'll be able to walk again?" He said with a gentle grin, trying everything he can think of the make Rayven happy.
He knew that his wife's death was hitting her hard, especially after she just came out of a 2 year coma. Rayven grew up with little friends and over time became depressed because of it. So much, to the point that she took a large dose of her mother's sleeping pills. She was lucky to survive, but was in a medically induced coma until she got well. She woke up only a month ago, but she deeply wished that she didn't.
"I don't know dad.. I mean. I know what you're trying to do, but I don't know if I can handle all of this." Rayven mumbled. Her father frowned but then smiled again.
"Let's just go home and see where we go from there..? Okay?" He kissed her forehead before opening the passenger side door, lifting Rayven's small body into the passenger seat and closing the door. He put her wheelchair in the back seat, run over to the driver's seat and climbed in. He started the car and smiled over at Rayven, who in return smiled weakly. He then drove out of the graveyard and began to drive to their small home, when..
"Dad.. that guy's driving pretty fast over there.." Rayven said to her father, worry on her face.
"Yeah.. they don't look like they're slowing down either.." He mumbled. As he was about to turn, the car swerved into their lane at full speed and rammed right into them. The loud crash could be heard from blocks away.
