Chapter 21

They arrive at the funeral directors. He puts his phone in his pocket.
Romeo: I wanna talk to you.
Karina: We can talk right now
Romeo: Its no the same when my sister is listening to everything we say.
Karina: Oh.
They walk inside and they are greeted by a lady and a man.
Lady: Welcome
Romeo: Hi.
Lady: So are you planning on renting the place?
Romeo: Yes
Lady: Okay lets go to my office.
Romeo and Karina walk into her office. And they sit in the chairs
Lady: So is she your sister?
Romeo: No shes my fiancee.
Lady: Oh I totally forgot to ask for your names.
Romeo: My name is Anthony
Karina: My name is Karina
Lady: I'm Cheryl
Romeo takes his phone out of his pocket and sees that his sister was on mute all this time. He takes her off of mute.
Cheryl: Is that your sister?
Anthony: Yes her name is Laura
Cheryl: so how did this person die?
Anthony: Well shes my mom and she died yesterday from cancer.
Cheryl: Well its okay. I know you are grieving and its hard I've known so many people who were in your shoes but they seem alright now. So Karina did you ever meet her?
Karina: Okay so this is a very long story so me and Anthony met and he never brought up his parents until the day before he was gonna propose to me which was two days ago and I Skyped her and then the next day. The day he proposed she died.
Cheryl: Ouch im sorry to hear that. I know its hard to deal with someone who has lost a loved one who is very close to them but the only advice I have for you is to be with Anthony and don't loose him love him like it was your last day. So back to this planning. Are we gonna do it this week or next week?
Romeo: Maybe next week. I need more time to find people to invite.
Karina puts her hand on his lap and looks at him.
Cheryl: So would you want only close friends and family or people who want to show support?
Romeo: Well I dont want like ghetto people to be there.
Cheryl: I totally under stand. So lets make plans to meet again in a few days and you can bring your family so we can get pictures of your mom.
Romeo: Okay thank you. I'll save your number.
They leave. And get back into the car. Anthony hangs up on his sister.
Anthony: I'm glad shes gone she heard too much
Karina: Is that your only sister?
Anthony: Yup its just me and her.
Karina: Oh I have an older brother but he is never home.
Anthony: what is his name?
Karina: Simon hes 28.
Anthony: What does he do?
Karina: I really don't know. A few summers ago we would go camping and all he really did was party with his friends.
Anthony: Oh.

They drive back to Anthony house. And he goes through all of his pictures to find some of his mom. They sit on the couch both of them really close to each other.
Romeo: You want some wine?
Karina: Um sure.
He gets two glasses and a wine bottle. Then he turns on the fire place. Its all warm and cozy. He pours the wine in a glass and gives it to her and he pours some for himself.
Romeo: We gotta go on a date.
Karina: How about we meet your dad. And go to your old house.
Romeo: Wow I haven't been there since a long time ago.
Karina: But your okay with it right?
Romeo: Yah I could talk to my dad tonight. And we can give you a tour of the little house and then we could go ro a movie or something. Just me and you.
Karina: Yes I love it.
He flips through the book of pictures. And Karina sees one that was very funny.
Karina: Look at your little booty.
It was a picture of a Anthony as a baby and he was laying there without clothes

Romeo: What? I was not aware that my mom took it😂

Karina: You look so cute.

Romeo: I want you to be the person who has my kids and we will be both raising them.

Karina: Aw well first we gotta get married.

Romeo: Yes

He takes her hand and looks at her ring.

Romeo: Who was the one who gave you this beautiful ring?

Karina: Well this man. I dont wanna name any names but he looks alot like you. His name starts with an A.

Anthony starts laughing. And he puts his Hand on her cheek. She puts her hands in his hair. They lean back on the couch and lay down. Their foreheads are touching.

Karina: I love you

Romeo: I love you too.

She kisses him. Romeo pulls away.

Romeo: Baby

Karina: Yes?!?

Romeo: I'm gonna change into my pajamas.

Karina: Okay ill do that too.

Karina walks to her suit case and takes out her pajamas and goes to the bathroom to change. She comes back and sees Romeo laying on the couch with his shirt off and his pajamas pants on. His arm is behind his head so his muscles are flexing. Karina blushes.

Romeo: Come over hear baby.

Karina walks towards him. He takes a sip of his wine.

Karina: I'm cold.

Anthony wraps his arms around her. They are really warm. Karina puts her lips by his muscles.

Karina: Hey weren't you supposed to call your dad?

Romeo: Oh yah.

He gets up and gets his phone and dials his dad.

'Roberto: Hello

Romeo: Hola papa.

Roberto: Hola son. Did you hear about your mother?

Romeo: Yah. Actually I wanted to know if you will be alone tomorrow.

Roberto: Why?

Romeo: Because I want you to meet someone.

Roberto: Yes I will be alone. Do you want me to invite your sister?

Romeo: No please don't.

Roberto: Okay so you will be here tomorrow?

Romeo: Yes.

Roberto: Okay hijo I love you.

Romeo: I love you too papa'

He hangs up.

Romeo: So I guess you will meet my dad.

Karina: Okay. Hey im tired. Do you want to go to sleep?

Romeo grabs her by her legs and takes her up stairs. He pulls the covers and puts her under them. Karina sticks out her hand almost like she was about to give him a high five. And Romeo takes his hand out and does the same. They put their hands closer together and then she holds his. Romeo takes his other hand and puts the blanket over them.

Romeo: I love you

Karina: I love you too

He gives her a kiss on the forehead and they go to sleep.
