I'm a teenager and I have set out on an adventure to get a bag of Lays Dill Pickle flavored potatoe chips. I have to find them and fine money to buy them.
It was a hot, sunny, ninety degree, summer day. I sat up in my bed after waking up from a beautiful dream about my man, Daniel. I slide off of my bed and walk over to my dresser. I look in the mirror and find that my mid-back length, black hair was in a rats nest. Believe me, I am no Sleeping Beauty in the morning. My t-shirt was all over the place and my shorts, all bunched up under my t-shirt, looked as if they had dissappeared. I pulled my hair up into a sloppy bun that sat ontop of my head.
I look around my room and just think to myself, "What am I going to do?" With that thought, my phone went off telling me I had a text message. Normally, I would check it, buy I wasn't on the mood for people and I had to pee really bad! So, I walked past the mirror and opened my bedroom door. I walk out and into the small bathroom. To shower or not to shower right after I'm done or later, that is my question.
I walk out of my bathroom and back into my room. I stand by my bed and look at my end table which possessed my phone. Should I see who texted me? Nah, I'll leave it be.
I sat down on my bed and thought to myself...I want Dill Pickle chips...
I got back up off of my comfy bed and opened up my bedroom door, "Barb!?"
"What do you want, Shi," my grandmother asked while intently staring at her computer, probably on Facebook, I might add.
"Are you going to the store today at all?" I ask walking out to the livingroom after closing my bedroom door behind me. I stood there on frint of her on the sofa on her laptop playing Facebook games.
"Yeah, why?" She glances up at me for a second and goes back to looking at her screen.
"Can I get chips when we go," I ask her. I stand there wishing she was avert her gaze from the laptop for more than five seconds. I wait patiently for it to register to her what I had just asked her.
She looked up at me after a few minutes passed, "Why? What happened to the chips I bought last week?" She looked back at her laptop and proceeded playing her Facebook games again.
"Pappy and I ate them all," I said, slightly getting more irritated by the second.
"I don't know, Shi. You know I don't like buying things we don't need," she said still loking at her laptop. Sometimes when I talk to her I just want to take her laptop and break it so she pays attention.
I mummbled under my breath and walked through the kitchen, back the hallway, and into my room. I closed the door behind me and looked around at my bright room. I went over to my closet and started looking on anything that might have money on it. If I had to fund money to give her to pay for the chips, then I'll pay for the damn chips myself.
After awhile, I had found exactly seven dollars and fifteen cents. I will just give it all to her and then get the change after she pays for the chips.
I open my door and go out into the livingroom once more. I walk over and stand on front of her and wait.
She looks up for a second and looks back at her laptop. "What do you want, Shi?"
"Can you look at me, please?" I shift my weight to stand comfortably as I wait for her to look at me. Once she looked at me, I said, "I found seven dollars and fifteen cents. I'm goung to give it to you. Can you buy my chips now?" I looked at her as she let out a sigh that indicated she was slightly annoyed.
"Yeah, now to get dressed if you want to go." She git up off of the sofa and walked into the bedroom to get dressed.
I walked back to my room again and looked at my dresser. I opened the bottom left-hand drawer and pulled out my pink skinny jeans. I grabbed a t-shirt and a pair of socks that were mismatched. I pull on my skinny jeans first and then my shirt. I get a belt and out that on, then I grab my shoes and put my socks on, then, not long after, I pulled my shoes on over my socks. I grab my phone, turn off the light, and leave my room pulling the door closed behind me.
She was just getting back up off of the sofa from shutting down her computer when I made my way into the livingroom. She looked at me, "You ready," she asked.
I shook my head and walked out the front door and got into out vehicle, a red Ford Escape. My grandmother got into the vehicle and out on her seat belt. She started the engine and five minutes later we are pulling into the parking lot. She parked and I got out of the car and made my way into the grocery store. I walked past the cash registers, took a left, and two isles later I'm standing on front of the chips. I grab a bag of the Lays Dill Pickle flavored chips and find my grandmother. I walked over to her and dropped the bag of chips on the cart and walked over to stand and wait for her to pay.
When she's finally done I take the bags and walk to the car. I opened the back, tossed the bags in, closed the back, and got on the front passenger's seat.
We got home and got the bags inside, I took my prize, and went back to my room. I closed my door, sat on my bed, opened the bag, and started munching on my chips. My adventure had come to an end.
THE END!
