It was a beautiful summer afternoon. One of the many that I spent here at Camp Half Blood on the dock of the canoe lake with Annabeth. A stray breeze blew back her blonde curls that rested on her shoulder. She had an intense facial expression which told me that she was lost deep in thought. Her gray eyes were as stormy and dazzling as ever as she looked out across the lake into the distance. I couldn't help but be in awe of her effortless beauty.

Her blonde curls were in a ponytail as always. Her camp necklace with its colorful array of beads rested on her chest. A typical orange camp t-shirt and a pair of shorts were her outfit as usual. No make up, and that was exactly how I liked her.

She must've caught me staring at her because a smirk appeared on her face. "What, Seaweed Brain?" She asked turning to face me. Her eyes locked on mine and I couldn't help but marvel at how beautiful they were. Suddenly, a very wicked thought entered my head.

"Oh, nothing. Just.... You know... Looking at that spider sitting next to you." I said, looking her straight in the eye. As I had wholeheartedly predicted Annabeth shrieked in terror and launched herself at me, glancing behind her. She looked so scared and I had to admit that I laughed at her fear at first. It was a funny even when Annabeth was frightened like this, and to be honest she was oh so very cute when she was scared.

See Annabeth was a daughter of Athena. Meaning she had this huge fear of spiders due to the old grudge between Athena and Arachne. Also, since she was a daughter of Athena, that meant that she was super smart. So smart, that after she realized that I was not taking care of the spider for her that she instantly figured out my mindless, playful prank. She whipped her head back at me and completely tackled me to the boards of the dock. "Why Percy? Why do you always do that?" She asked infuriated with me. I smiled and looked straight into her beautiful eyes. "Because, you're cute when you're scared." I stated, smiling at her. She rolled her eyes at me and continued to push me to the dock.

"I'm sorry Annabeth. You know I only joke with you because I love you." She smiled and her grip on the front of my shirt loosened. I took this as an opportunity to tackle her into a sitting position. "Percy-" She started to say, having been taken off guard. I cut her off with a kiss and I wrapped my arms around her. It took her by surprise but I guess she found it to be a good surprise, because she kissed me back.

We pulled away and she ruffled my already messy black hair. "You're such a seaweed brain." She said smirking. I laughed. "And you're my wise girl. Forever and always." She smiled and then leaned in and kissed me.

Yup, this was where I always wanted to be. On the docks of the canoe lake, with my one and only wise girl.
